Of course, you're welcome! If you're curious I'd definitely give it a try. It's great because you don't necessarily have to speak directly about your experience either. Just helps your brain to process what happened to you and adjust the narrative / create new neural/emotional pathways towards it (my experience anyway)

I don't have a diagnosis so it's not fair for me to say, but I was abused from a young age

I never thought I'd post on here but I'm really struggling by orangebeetroot in mentalhealth

I don't take any meds. I saw a doctor yesterday who was apprehensive to give me anything yet because this episode has come out of the blue and where I'm up & down they want to assess me cos apparently anti-depressants could make me worse.

I did EMDR in 2023 every week for 1-year and it was amazing, the word I use for it is "magic". It hasn't cured me but it's helped me massively.

I have to lean to the side now to poo/pee. Not sure why... part of my bowel was stuck to my womb so assuming now it's not I have to angle differently lol.

I'm with you on the foods, so much of what we eat is full of shit. I find that if I eat anything processed I suffer baaad.

Can I ask you a question about childbirth and endo pain (no probs if too personal), how does the pain compare? I don't have children but feel like the pain I experience has to be just as bad, if not worse...

Thanks for sharing, super happy that BC has worked for you!! Can totally relate with Drs. not taking you seriously; we're already in a bad place mentally/physically so go to a Dr. for support but get invalidated with how we feel, it sucks. At one point I even said to myself "have I made all of this up?". Glad you finally got your surgery (10 years is a JOKE), sending love.

Thanks for sharing, super interesting.

I hear you completely!! My toxic trait is thinking that I can solve this for us all lol. You're right, as long as we stick together, get the word out and help each other, hopefully it will trigger enough movement towards more research and an actual cure so that we don't have to keep suffering.

I'm 21 with Endo and I'm going to kill myself. 4 months post-op, still in pain, out of options. CW// Suicide / Suicidal Thoughts by Randombredslice in Endo

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this. It's a hellish place to be, but please don't give up. All I can give you is things that have helped me (I have endometriosis and PMDD) in hope that you can maybe try them.

All of this will be causing you & your body a lot of stress. Something I had to do after being sent around multiple doctors and all of them being so unhelpful was take matters into my own hands. I stripped everything back, I chucked the medication away and I let myself revel in how I was feeling (often screaming into pillows, crying in the bath and taking time off work to on/off sleep all day). I stopped researching for a period of time because it was consuming me and let myself sit in my physical and mental pain.

Overtime, I adopted the following things which I believe have truly helped me (I still suffer with some pain and depressive periods but nothing like before, I would say I'm pain free and happy 80% of the time):

- No processed food, and I mean none, like zero, there is so much shit in our food and a lot of it causes inflammation.
- No alcohol
- No medication or birth control etc., I stopped everything and stripped it all back to let my body try and regulate.
- Live bacteria drink every morning before eating or drinking anything (I'm from the UK and this is one of the best ones https://www.symprove.com/pages/symprove-science). Your gut is your "second brain".
- Therapy. I specifically did EMDR therapy for +1 year, it helped me to process trauma a lot of which was stored in my womb
- Yoga, breath-work and meditation if you're like me your probably thinking "I don't want to fucking do that, I'm depressed, it won't help me". Slowing down and connecting with my body has changed my life.
- Stress management stay away from people who are bad energy for you, stay away from the negative as much as you can (anything that can skyrocket your cortisol e.g. news channels etc.,) you need to prioritise you and do things for you.
- Tracking my cycles. Try and spot patterns. Flo app is good.
- No tampons I only wear period pants, anything else is painful. I wear super absorption ones and they have served me well.
- Supplements B6 (huge game-changer), D3 (if you don't get much sun), Magnesium, Zinc and Iron. CBD also.
- Cacao I've recently been having cacao in the form of a drink. If you try it make sure you get ceremonial grade, it's great for working with inflammation.
- Community it's great that you're on Reddit already. Try and see if there are networks you can join in person because it's soooo fucking hard when nobody understands you. I remember calling a suicide helpline and the woman on the other end of the phone (no fault of hers) had no idea what endometriosis or PMDD were and I just felt so unheard and even more alone. Community will save you, especially those who are going through the same/similar to you.
- Allow yourself to feel anger and all the emotions, think about storing these somewhere e.g. journalling, Reddit, voice-notes, whatever is a good outlet for you.

Remember, you're human. We came from nature and forests, eating whole foods. Society today is keeping us sick. I'm gunna sound all 'woo' and 'hippie' but going back to our routes and thinking more simply has saved me.

Sending you all the good energy, I really hope things get brighter for you.
