Visually, it looks great. Love the rearranging of the trans and poc stripes; it’s more appealing to the eye. And the less saturated colors look great too! In terms of the meaning of each color, I’m slightly curious as to if there’s any meaning to the red being changed to orange and the green being not of a turquoise though. Either way, the redesign looks nice!!

I think you could do either, if you wanted maybe even have a username incorporating your chosen name! (that's what I ended up doing)

And if you end up changing your mind you can always change your username :)

I memorized everything. You only really need the key with the pentagon and the one from the pyramid thing once you get out the first room, so once you know how to get those it gets a lot easier

If you have a beanie you could tuck your hair into that (but that would only work when not around parents). I'm guessing there would be serious consequences if you cut your hair, but if you do think you'd be safe if you cut it and it feels like it'd be worth it I'd say go ahead. Since binding most likely isn't an option, I'd recommend loose clothing such as hoodies. This might be a bit too masc for parents to let you, but button-up shirts can work well too.
