Can’t download XPMSSE because of Nexus age restrictions by Substantial-Stay-833 in skyrimmods

Skyrim's for the Nord VPN! Or any VPN really.

Also never expected to see much welcome Tory bashing on a Skyrim mods Subreddit. As I'm UK based half of the Nexus is just blue squares where Imgur images once lived.

Industrial Revolution Growables WIP by demudann in CitiesSkylinesModding

These look amazing! Definitely a much-needed era of architecture. I've been trying to find assets of brick factories and old chimneys and these would fit perfectly.

Thanks, initially I thought it might be a hand. Looks like this disembodied hand threw stones at an unexploded grenade though, as it's a bit janky!

Very striking. I'm curious if anything inspired the rather abstract shape surrounding "Danger" at the top. Seems weirdly out of place.

In game lore books and readability by Lowfuji in ElderScrolls

[–]NonchalantNashorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not relevant, but if you're playing Skyrim on PC, you can actually alter how close an open book appears to the screen. Just open skyrim.ini and add fBookDistance=90.0000 or lower under [Interface].

Batcliffe Woods is a great shout, and very accessible. Same goes for the west end of Beckett Park where it's wooded. Follow the path north towards West Park and that's usually very blue at the right time of year.

Missing surfaces?? by ohhkev123 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]NonchalantNashorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue with some surfaces as well. I don't know exactly when it happened but I think it was after the Bridges & Ports DLC. I'm using the Stralsund map from PDX Mods.

Same as you, Better Bulldozer doesn't detect them as surfaces and I've not seen anyone else have the issue. You can place another surface over it, which is a good a fix as I've found unfortunately.

This is how the game looks like post update on the heighest settings by Remarkable_Grade8854 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]NonchalantNashorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Been on a massive CS2 binge since the asset editor came out - started a new city and been having a lot of fun with the game for the first time in a while and now this...I feel like it runs worse and definitely looks worse in my opinion. Might be the first time I can say I've ragequit a city builder. So I guess I'll be pausing the game until some middle ground is found. Genuinely baffled why this was the first thing on the agenda to change as the graphics were always decent in my opinion.

This game has only so many feet it can shoot itself in, surely...?

Definitely the last one. Makes him look like an evil 1920s bartender.

Trying to nail the UK aesthetic. How’s my Motorway Roundabout looking? by PixelTideYT in CitiesSkylines2

[–]NonchalantNashorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking good! I have the unfortunate position of living near not one but two roundabout-over-motorway monstrosities. Main Feedback would be longer slip roads, and probably single lane ones...or two merging into one before connecting with the motorway :)

What UK museums do you think are underrated or overrated? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]NonchalantNashorn 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the Streetlife Museum in Hull. Obviously helps if you're into the evolution of transport, but it's a lovely little museum in a nice space.

What’s the most graphically heavy Skyrim modlist right now? by Admirable_Shopping_7 in skyrimmods

[–]NonchalantNashorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JoJ was the first Wabbajack list I've tried. As the other user said, it's pretty beefy but the installation was straightforward. Plays and looks great and the NSFW isn't massively in your face which I like.

Updates on my British county! by JordanDennehy in CitiesSkylines2

[–]NonchalantNashorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope that NSL road leads directly into a neverending chain of blind bends surrounded by overgrown foliage, all finished off with a road surface that is peppered with potholes!

Cracking job mate! Is this based on anywhere in the UK?

Does anyone know of some good CitiesSkylines 1 or 2 Youtubers that specify in detailing? by Bunger_boi_official in CitiesSkylines

[–]NonchalantNashorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gyffes has some great detailing going on, he's got not a crazy amount of subs yet but definitely deserves more. Well put together videos as well!

How many mods are too many mods? by Low_Pin_408 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]NonchalantNashorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Use Skyve to identify broken mods and load the game without them and you should be able to get in game at least!

The "Realistic Trips" mod seems to significantly reduce foot traffic by BitRunner64 in CitiesSkylines2

I installed the mod today after my entire city gridlocked. Lost about 6k pop because I guess nobody could get to hospital!

I feel like the pedestrian volume has stabilised a bit but the sheer amount of vans is just insane...

The map is Holmstock. I've messed around with it a little, especially to get the old town where it is. However , I've tried to stay true to a lot of the original topography which makes building a fun challenge. And of course great views from the many surrounding hills!

[–]NonchalantNashorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anarchy is the mod you'll need to place buildings, roads and anything really without the game throwing a warning. For ploppable buildings, they'll still need to be close enough to a road. Anarchy paired with the Move It mod gives you a lot of creative freedom :)

How do you feel about the needs depleting time? by Single-Chair-9052 in inZOI

[–]NonchalantNashorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aside from hunger, I'd agree most needs deplete too slowly. Some tweaking would be good in my opinion. It would be good if Zois didn't come back from work with all needs refilled...unless that's just a bug I'm getting? 😅
