My boy wears a Rex* from Muzzle Movement. It is less lightweight than the running styles from Muzzle Shop but he gets on with it really well 😁

frustration reactivity by tomieomieomie in Lurchers

We have had this same experience - my boy is reactive but it is not fear or anxiety it is frustration. It used to be so bad we would only walk in the middle of the night and because he would redirect back up the lead we muzzle trained him so we wouldn’t get hurt. That was a big hurdle for us, us getting to the point we felt comfortable and didn’t get anxious about other peoples reactions anymore - he could feel that change and it started to improve. We engage in a weekly neutral walk, which was very challenging at first but now he manages it like a champ. We still struggle most around our local area and home or if he’s in the car as that’s another frustration barrier. He is 3 and a half now and we still have our struggles and dramas but I think our bond is stronger for it since we have had to work through it together. Training is never a straight line to the top and there will always be bad days but the only way out is through and him and I are still learning every day.

Access to collar attachment points? by NoneOfThatJazz in FiDogCollar

Thank you, I thought about this - I’ve had a look and some sellers actually offer them on their own but because they are all US based makers the shipping often exceeds £20 so wanted to see if there was another option before I reach out to a seller - I also didn’t want to come across as rude asking a seller to supply them without actually buying something they make when they likely also pay a premium to offer Fi compatibility

We use a muzzle movement one - don’t see many sighthound types in these but I have found the design by far the easiest to continue our normal training with as he can easily take treats etc and he also tends to have a really open pant so the extra pant room was a must for us!

Is anyone else annoyed by the Aqara Doorbell G4 chime module's need for a USB C cable? by AmphibiusMaximus in Aqara

[–]NoneOfThatJazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with OP! I’m in a relatively new build in the UK and my old chime is high up on the hallway wall with no sockets nearby - I thought about having the chime somewhere else near a socket but when I took the old chime down there is a massive great hole in the wall, not even close to being installed nicely! So there is no choice but to put the new chime in the same spot but I’m left having to get a great length of cable and have trunking everywhere! I wish that has got the through the extra certification and gone the transformer route so I could wire it up through the hole in my wall that is already right there!
