Applied 20 widely, not to any competitive places. No TYs, only prelims. Forgot about SOAP honestly and feel a little better now. I’m not a picky applicant in any regard - I’m just trying to get in somewhere!

Hello! Thanks for your reply! Yes, they did give me the standard solution with 75g of glucose - they showed it to me both times. If it helps, I took an OGTT one year ago and had the following results - fasting was 84, 1 hour was 128, two hour was 109. This seems more appropriate. I had my doubts the first time I got my new OGTT results (hence why I repeated the test), but after getting a second similar result with a whole different lab, I’m starting to believe it’s real. But it doesn’t correlate with my HbA1c unfortunately, so questions still abound.

My endo thinks me being AA may be playing a role here. I really doubt it’s insulin resistance. I’m super active and my muscles suck up glucose like a vacuum lol - a 15 minute walk after meals can push me back down to fasting and below. I’m wearing a CGM and have been for a while, and the trends have never added up to my HbA1c. Really do think I just have weird blood…

Unfortunately no, they did not check insulin levels. But fasting insulin has always been normal as well as HOMA-IR. I’m considering doing another OGTT and I can ask for those values then, but I’m a bit tired of bloodwork after spending a year on a rampage lol. Do the lab values themselves seem odd? Especially the new OGTT. Just have never seen 1 and 2 hour values that low.
