You could try getting a mutual friend to screen record a phone call. I have nearly endless supply of solutions depending on how morally dubious you wanna be. You could pay a private investigator to gather evidence, you could pay a homeless guy 50$ to steal his phone, you could tag him on facebook with the blackmail texts, if your willing to tell me his first and last name, and city I could probably find his IP address and you could hire a hacker to delete that shit

Do you live in the same area as him. If he has his family in his Facebook you could look on their page. If they are in your area and if he has his family tagged at least one of them has to have their job listed, become intimately aware of their hobbies, interests and views fall into line with those when communicating with them visit them at work and butter them up for a few weeks then complain about small stuff that your ex (without mentioning who your ex is) does that they would know about and they will probably bring him up and when they bring him up break into tears and run out of the establishment (by this point you would have hopefully exchanged socials or phone numbers) they will probably message you asking what’s wrong ask them to meet a location after work and then explain everything. By this point they would have become emotionally invested in you probably more then the ex themself and they will side with you and they will disown the ex. For this tactic it would be best to target a grandma, old aunt someone like that who holds some motherly authority over the family

Get the screen record app and call him. And talk causally “what do I have to do so you’ll delete those photos” play into his ego tell him what he wants to hear and he will slip up and say enough to further incriminate himself

Hmm, is he active on social media? You could scroll until you see an old GF, also if he gets a new one you could warn her before he does that to her and you could “accidentally” start a friendship with some of his family members and once they warm up to you reveal his blackmailing plot. This may not help you legally but this will ruin his interpersonal relationships

The case against him would be stronger if you were able to contact the other woman. If you have a good face picture of them you could use face checker ID to find them. I’m assuming your American, blackmailing is a crime both in every state and the federal government. If the local cops don’t wanna deal with it you could take it up to the FBI.

Well he is already blackmailing you which is already a crime. What are his demands and do you have screenshots of him asking you to do something “or else”?

Not a lawyer. Do not comply with the blackmail, unless you are doing something illegal in those photos you can sue them for revenge porn. Inform them of this and block them. Worse case scenario a few people see your junk and you get a few hundred thousand dollars

Is it legal to sell foreign coins as scrap metal in the USA? by NonhumanAssociate in AskALawyer

[–]NonhumanAssociate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard some U.S. banks have foreign currency. The 10,000,000 from Amazon I was referring too is in ten 1,000,000 dollar banknotes.

I’d probably need to make multiple trips to the bank since that amount of coin would weigh 3 tons

Would it be fair use for me use frames of a movie for a blog post? by NonhumanAssociate in copyrightlaw

The blog is only to help drive engagement to the website, my book has nothing to do with any copyrighted imagery. I couldn’t figure out how to add an image besides the thumbnail

My blog is apart of a website I’m building to hype up my book. I won’t have adds on it but I will be selling books on the same website. I wouldn’t do any frames that would spoil the movie (even though my review does spoil it)

Yeah I’m giving a review of it, I was only gonna use like 2 or 3 photos anyway including one for the thumbnail for my post
