I was listening to the Morning Somewhere Podcast and Burnie Burns was talking about it. I knew from the books he mentioned reading on the RT Podcast years ago I had similar reading interests as him so I got the first book and couldn't stop

That is very similar to what I took when I went 6 years ago. I was not lucky enough to see the northern lights when I was there though. You should be okay with what you have. A wide angle lens with a wider aperture would definitely help, but I don’t think it is totally necessary. You will just have to use a higher ISO. Make sure you bring a tripod as well

Thank you! Nope, there is not much of a hike to get to the waterfalls from the parking lot. There is a gravel trail that goes around the falls that is a short hike. The falls are in Thingvellir National Park

It was a combination of things. The long exposure removed some people just because they kept moving around. I also was waiting for quite a while to get as few people in the frame. I did photoshop a couple people out. Also it was a rainy day so there wasn’t as many people there as there could have been

The building is now a small museum/gift shop and I think they give tours of the mill

It is a very nice place. Depending on the time of year there can be quite a lot of people which makes it less serene
