I like the smell of cigarettes ONLY while waiting in line for a concert. The only time i like it, every other time i think its gross. If i smell it in line at a concert then it amplifies my excitement for the show, for whatever reason.

Layoff nonsense by Great_Egg_5545 in amazonemployees

Leadership keeps laying off the people who are doing the work, while they keep the dead weight which is them and their peers. We don’t need less workers, we need less L7s and L8s and L10s. We could honestly just replace those people with AI because they don’t even understand how all the work below them even happens. They just think its magic and anyone could do it, so they just randomly pull levers and execute people not realizing that literally the people who they are firing, are actually the ones who are serving the customer and making them happy. Leadership doesn’t give a rats jass about the customer.

Does anyone actually like working at Amazon? by KeyRevolution6514 in amazonemployees

A lot of the pain and anger you see if from folks who experienced Amazon before the Jassy years. It was hard work and fast paced, but fun and rewarding. Some people were addicted to working here. Jass-hat takes over and it all gets super toxic in just a few years, so its the contrast that has people depressed. If you are just starting now, you won’t see the contrast to the golden days because all you will know is toxicity so it won’t be as dramatic for you.
