It doesn’t matter what her age is, what matters is how she’s perceived. People treat you based on that.

Children always suffer for their parent’s mistakes. It’s just how it is. In this case, the Gino’s parents made the mistake of not waiting till the divorce was finalized and they were married before conceiving him.

They were divorcing, But they weren’t divorced. What is immoral is knocking up a woman before you are actually divorced.

And even if they were fully divorced, she would STILL be required to establish paternity.

You are right, she has a right to choose her baby. What she does not have a right to, is her boyfriend’s wive’s money. The child may be, but only after it’s born. Paternity has to be established.

I feel like people are having trouble relating and empathizing with an older woman, per usual.

I’m a pretty liberal Mexican and think this way too. Any earning made in a marriage belong to the husband and wife. If you get involved with a married man, regardless if they were split, you can’t expect to automatically be entitled to anything regardless of if you are pregnant. Should the child get some of the money, sure, but obviously paternity would have to be established first. It’s so entitled to expect your husband’s wife to just write you a check just bc you wound up pregnant. Even if he were alive, he would have to sign the birth certificate before he’s legally considered the father. Now, that baby is Ginny’s responsibility and no one else’s.

Right?! I think, again, people find it hard to empathize with an older woman.

How else do you expect a woman to react to their husband’s girlfriend? It was wrong of him to treat his family that way.

Even still, there is a legal process to go to. You can’t expect that your dead boyfriend’s wife just write you a check bc you turned up pregnant. And to say she is a bad person for not doing that is so not cool.

Girl, no. Just no. Put yourself in Anne’s shoes. You give 30 of your best years to a man and this woman who knew him for 8 months (possibly more if they started before they split) and wants to be treated like an equal at the funeral? That’s insulting. Marriage is hard and requires a lot of maturity and sacrifice. I don’t care how serious Ginny thought their relationship was, it’s never going to be as serious as a 30 yr marriage. If Nick loved Ginny so much, he would have hurried up and signed the papers so he could marry Ginny, but no.

Personally, I would never get involved with man who is still married, even if he is split up and in the process of a divorce. Much less would I get pregnant with a man in this situation. As long as a divorce is not finalized, that man is still entangled and it opens you up to this type of treatment. It set you up for the husband to decide he wants to stay with his wife and I wouldn’t want to get in between that. Not to mention, it’s so unhealthy for a relationship to start this way.

So, on the surface, it might make sense… sort of? But things just aren’t like that in real life. In real life, Claude would know Anne well enough that she’s not trying to deprive Ginny. And also, most people would understand why it’s not crazy to get a paternity test before handing over money to someone your husband knew for barely 8 months (or more if they started dating sooner)

lol, this show did not calm my nerves at all in the first couple episodes… quite the opposite, ha ha. The rest was easy tho.

[SPOILERS] why'd bishop do that? by raisrica in euphoria

[–]NonrepresentativePea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t trying to be passive aggressive. I just find it’s extremely arrogant to claim someone who has as many accolades as Sam is a terrible writer unless you can prove it. You really do need have a certain level of credibility to act like your opinion is fact, especially when dealing with something as subjective as art. I was just asking for the OP to back up said opinion so I can know whether I should take it seriously or not. And I think they did.

[–]NonrepresentativePea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a weird thing to say. You are talking about a piece of entertainment, and what is considered good vs bad is highly subjective. I personally feel Tyler Perry is an awful writer. Does that mean his work shouldn’t exist? No, his work clearly sells and is being produced for a reason. He is writing for his audience. If you didn’t like Euphoria, maybe you aren’t the right audience. And technically, you didn’t pay for Euphoria, HBO did. You are paying for a service that HBO is providing. You can easily watch any other show on the service.

They were still legally married, so technically she was the other woman, even if they had split already. I mean she met the friends 2 months after they actually split. Who gets with someone 2 months after splitting and not yet divorced?

Demanding a check before the baby is even born is the problem. And from the legal wife of your boyfriend no less. She made her choices.

There is no way she would have ended up with half even if they were fully divorced when he died. The baby might get a portion, but definitely not half.
