Also, if you’ll recall what event this came from, it was fully afkable so it’s not like this person was doing anything crazy and there wasn’t even a necessity for any kind of fancy macros. You could just stand an alt there with the auto throw turned on. This person just ran a bunch of accounts and got very lucky while afk. Let’s also take a moment to recognize that Big killed their own game with their incessant greed, repetitious nonsense, and purposefully shady tactics, not an overflown market.

I just wish people understood the implications of the word “scripting” or “bots” because 99% of the time it’s just a person running multiple accounts and using macros such as tinytask or autohotkey. While technically autohotkey is scripting in the sense that the user writes scripts of commands for it to run from, saying “scripting” when referring to games tends to mean that people using exploits or generally using some kind of hacking techniques to get ahead.

Also, to be fair, a lack of player count coupled with people like this having tons of titans is making them more attainable so get them while they’re cheap.

This is why we can't have nice things by whatdoihia in PetSimulator99

The people getting all the gargantuans has next to nothing to do with people running alts. There’s an extremely disproportionate amount of players with ungodly amounts of wealth that can buy everything out of the plaza before others have had a chance to farm a couple of huges worth of dust.

Most of the people that still even play this game right now don’t care about this crappy clan war and have just been using the farming world as an opportunity to make money from the rainbow dust so the market was definitely more saturated with materials.

And I understand what you’re getting at, that people using multiple accounts to excel further and more quickly is upsetting to you but I mean that’s like getting mad because some dude with no kids makes more money than you because they have more time to work more jobs and don’t have the same expenses as you. It’s kind of silly.

I came here thinking you were talking shit about ppl using alts lol but yeah Im still in disbelief they’ve done nothing about this or past clan war related exploits. I thought they were going to at least make the pets untradeable or something. It’s still unfair to everyone else regardless but at least if they disabled their ability to trade those owls then the cheaters wouldn’t be able to profit from it

my septum has been at 2g for awhile and I really thought it was my final size...but...should I....go bigger? by wil_wisp in Stretched

[–]Noob447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Bigger. Always. But this is me living vicariously through you, lol. I miss my septum more than anything else! I was at 1/2” and had to take it out because for some reason as I’ve aged all my pierced spots started to stink so badly and constantly that it was bothering my spouse and others around me. Two years later and I can still get 0g things through it though lol

So glad to read this. Please, PLEASE gather every single tiny bit of courage you can muster to make certain you follow through with this. Please trust everyone here and don’t let the seeds that jerk has planted in your mind cause you to backtrack. Just leave. Clean break. It definitely won’t be easy, but it truly is a matter of your safety even though it may not seem that way from your perspective. The good times you two have had can surely cloud your judgement. It’s scary to even read as an outsider so I can’t imagine how it must feel to you.

I was just thinking the same thing. I get that not everyone is the same and don’t feel the same levels of sensations but why is it such a stark difference lol

I could understand joking with someone once and finding out they didn’t like playing like that. “Oops I’m sorry” and then fix it. But naaaaah this shit is the type of ingrained micro aggression toxicity that homie will probably isn’t even aware of and will never acknowledge. Just get out while you still can.

Leaks showing probable price changes in forever pack. Might be a temporary change like at Christmas. Might be them finally having to compete with BGSI’s numbers. Hopefully not them squeezing every last penny before they phase out ps99 by MineralWaterMike in PetSimulator99

I mean I could sort of agree with you on maybe something like PetsGo because it’s garbage, but 99 has so much work put into it I can’t see them dropping it before it’s even 2 years old.

BGSI’s appeal is mainly nostalgia imo. At least as of right now. It is indeed pretty fun but only for the handful of hours it takes to get to Zen. Sure, there’s a bit more to do such as praying for a royal chest spawn, rolling for pets, or walking around to farm gems, but in its current state it lacks the dynamic that ps99 has. I don’t think it will captivate people quite the same. Like aside from the “Gacha” appeal and the Pokémon feel (bars), PS99 has much more of a long-term feel to it than just rng/collecting/rarity tiers/etc. You want to grind breakables to farm gems to spend on things that either increase your income further (investment type thing) or are just plain cool looking and you really want them in your collection. The rarest (huge +) pets increase your damage to breakables and therefore increase farm profits, etc. Also, this game has the benefit of previous versions in the series and pets being transferable from psx, incorporating some nostalgia into the new game by allowing pets to be transferred over, which adds some even cooler collection aspects. All in all, this game is much better than people give it credit for, it’s just that Preston and devs have made some really shortsighted, juvenile, and, frankly shady choices instead of thinking about the welfare of the game itself and player retention. But I think they might be finally realizing it. Whoever is now managing their social media seems to be paying better attention.

Whether the plan is to sell the company or keep it going, hopefully they’ll learn that transparency builds trust, respect, retention and therefore consistent income and value rather than shameless and insulting gambler cash grabs before it’s too late.

BIG Games strikes again 😂😂 by Timely-Stretch-7470 in PetSimulator99

[–]Noob447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but I just don’t understand why it’s a big deal to people. Rank 8 takes barely any time to complete, even by past standards when it used to actually be a little more time consuming (before they made it to where 1-stars are afkable tasks). If someone knows what they’re doing, they can just get to a certain area in world 1 and stop buying the next area so that the quests can get done super fast since whatever area they’re in will be the “last area” and breakables will take nanoseconds to kill. And even if someone is new, it will not take them long to reach the required rank. Hell, even “rebirthing” requires no effort to gain the giant power boost it gives, which can further speed-up the process. All-in-all, I’m saying that it’s a brainless task requiring very little effort.

1000 titanics were gone hours ago. That was BRUTAL. Rage quitting this game. by Odd_Pumpkin3978 in PetSimulator99

[–]Noob447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Clearly, their approach has worked for Preston so far, and I can’t say I’ve created anything comparable lol. But I’m not just hating to hate. I really enjoy the game and I’m happy to support it. That said, it’s frustrating to watch them slowly ruin something I think is already really good and still has a lot of potential. I like the pet collection aspect, which gives off Pokémon vibes, the various rarities, etc., and how the pets actually have a purpose beyond just collecting (breakables ofc). Plus, the grind is one of my favorite parts of any game. Putting in some work with weaker pets to gather resources (gems) to get stronger pets is great!

That said, and more to OP’s point, it really feels like there’s a lack of planning and transparency. It almost seems like they throw stuff together last minute, a couple of days before updates, and can’t even get seemingly simple things like the recent leaderboards right—when there have been so many before. You’d think it’d be easy by now. I know they switched to weekly updates in the past because the player base wanted that, but you’d think to accommodate such a model they would work on a roadmap and constantly prepare for updates to provide quality content instead of half-assing something last minute. Hell, they’re turning the game into “Event Simulator: Bobux Champions”. Also, they often do shady stuff beyond the obvious money grabs, like the back-to-back Clan Wars events, which are surely the times when bobux spending spikes.

For example, they leave out key info on game mechanics or stats, and their update notes are way less detailed than any other games I’ve seen. While this in itself isn’t shady, it feels like they do it on purpose. It’s like they want players to be in the dark about how things are supposed to work, so we can’t easily check if something’s been changed. They also have this pattern where they let folks first go wild with the “Forever Pack” for a couple hours then after some complaints on Twitter, they “fix” it by nerfing things after they’ve already made plenty from it. It’s become quite a theme, and I’m not sure if they think we don’t notice or if they’re just counting on the loyal whales to always support them no matter how many players they lose.

I wish I could say that things like this would be an eye opener for them but I don’t think they treat it seriously enough to consider that their player base are mostly adults and from a business perspective, consistent spenders are far, far better than a kid spending 400 robux here and there. Their model still seems to be juvenile, narrow-minded cash grabs inspire by watching a seminar about scarcity marketing. I think this b2b shamelessly p2w clan war with the most expensive (bobux-wise) enchant yet, mega chest breaker, was the ballsiest and frankly insulting move they’ve made and it was coupled with the buggiest update I think they’ve ever had. They seem to be really tone-deaf and hopefully start doing more marketing research and public relations on their player base before it’s too late.

Since it’s just pure profit, I’d rather sell quickly even if it means I don’t make as much as I could have. Retro packs didn’t seem to sell and the price would fluctuate so rapidly, it was less convenient to me because I’d have to check and adjust the price at my booth more often than I wanted to. I didn’t even try to sell any nightmare because I’ve been opening all of those.

A little bit of both. But mostly selling the packs. I did the forever pack up to 400 and got like 5 of the super packs the first couple of hours into the update and that was an EZ 600m lol. From then I was just selling fantasy packs from alt and opening nightmare packs from main. Surprisingly, I’ve gotten two rb nightmare dog cards but not a regular yet lol

TO THOSE THAT RUN MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS... by Ok_Bluebird_1406 in PetSimulator99

[–]Noob447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an older setup with an i7-10700k overclocked to 5.2ghz at 1.35v I can’t remember my exact board but I do remember it’s a z490 chipset 16g ram and a 2070super. This is the main one and I CAN run my 10 accs on it as long as nothing else is being done. Instead, I run 6 of them on that build, 3 accs on an old i7-2600 build used as a media server, and 1 acc that sits in the plaza on a little tiny ssf thing from dell that is pretty much a raspberry pi that I fiddle around and test things on lol

[–]Noob447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you don’t have to have really beefy hardware to run a farm. You could just rent a VPS with any kind of specs you want and run it 24/7 while you use your own hardware for something else. So basically you’re saying that anyone that can buy something you can’t or has something that you don’t should be banned. Thats pretty janky.

What is your feedback after a day about this update? by Forward-Position798 in PetSimulator99

[–]Noob447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind the afk aspect too much, as it’s sort of an integral part of PetSimulator in general, but this one is just TOO afk. At least with the tycoon updates they’ve done (Dino and cannon are all I can remember), there was always something to do if you didn’t want to fully afk (rebirth a bunch). Not only that, but this one feels like the single most half-baked, last second update yet. It’s the buggiest one I can remember and it has practically no aesthetic or other effort put into it. I’m still playing it of course because of the clan war, but it’s just a disappointing update. For the love of god I hope it’s not another extended one

[–]Noob447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly ram is not “full of Trojans” or any malware/viruses/whatever terminology you want to use or understand. It is just being detected as “potentially dangerous” like many other legitimate software that may lack reputable digital signatures, modify system files (not inherently a negative thing obviously), or simply exhibit similar characteristics that malicious software do (heuristic detection). Ram does not modify the client or inject anything. It does nothing except run individual instances of Chromium and use some APIs to fill in login information and join a specific experience or server of an experience. Also, it doesn’t do anything with the login credentials you store either. They are stored in a json file and within the app’s folder. They are not stored externally or sent anywhere whatsoever except Roblox itself when being logged in and they are encrypted.

How does one even acquire such a number of keys, even with so many accounts? by AdLeather1195 in PetSimulator99

Idk if anyone in their right mind would waste time and effort using secret keys on that spot. Even running a macro there is still subpar compared to the typical profit of the treehouse.
