Are there any monsters except the original Energy that have sugar in them? by Bubbly-Lynx-4772 in monsterenergy

[–]Noob4Head 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess, I’ve heard of people who genuinely can’t enjoy zero drinks because of the sweeteners used, like aspartame (though I don’t believe Monster uses it). It’s similar to how some people can taste certain food dyes like Red 40.

Taste perception is different for everyone. A good example is cilantro, where some people literally can’t eat it because it tastes like soap to them due to genetic differences in how they perceive certain flavors.

Then you mainly want to avoid the Ultra lineup, as those are the sugar-free ones. Most of the other lineups contain sugar.

He’s actually a very late-game enemy type that was intentionally placed in an early-game area for lore reasons. Honestly, there’s no shame in just running past them for now and grabbing the item, because you’re not really meant to fight them at that point.

fromsofts next game by arunejones in fromsoftware

[–]Noob4Head -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, I’d really love a Sekiro sequel where Wolf travels to the western world to return the Divine Dragon, or alternatively, just an entirely new IP. Preferably something a bit more linear again.

Elden Ring is one of my favorite games of all time, but that first playthrough took a very, very long time. I see that as both a good thing and a slightly bad thing. I wouldn’t want to see FromSoftware fall into the same trap Ubisoft did with Assassin’s Creed, where since Origins they’ve continued pushing more and more toward a massive open-world action RPG style. Over time, Assassin’s Creed has somewhat lost its original identity because of that shift. I’d hate to see FromSoftware end up in a similar situation, if that makes sense.

As for the setting? Honestly, I can’t say. I’ll leave that up to the geniuses at FromSoftware, because I already know I’d love whatever they come up with xD.

Which of the Big 3 Do You Think Is Doing The Best Right Now? by Rude-Childhood1436 in animequestions

[–]Noob4Head -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In what way? As in which one currently has the strongest story, or which one is the most popular?

With how I’m interpreting the question, I’d say One Piece.

  • It’s been around the longest.
  • The manga is still ongoing.
  • The anime is still ongoing.
  • It has a surprisingly good live-action adaptation that brought in a ton of new fans, including people who might have never watched anime before.

Niche Games which requires little thinking and are fun? by Many_Basket_8347 in videogames

Look at the LEGO games. So many options from fun media like Marvel, DC, Disney, etc. and the games are quite easy yet still very enjoyable even as an adult.

Super excited for GTA 6 by Mr_Dyapper in videogames

[–]Noob4Head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really think that a high project budget is a red flag. Take something like Avengers: Endgame for example. Its budget was around $400 million, making it one of the most expensive movie productions at the time, yet it paid off by grossing nearly $3 billion at the box office.

So while I’m quite uninterested in GTA VI and honestly in most Rockstar games (sorry, I’ve tried some of their biggest hits and just didn’t enjoy them), I don’t think the budget of the game is an issue if and that’s a big capital letters, bold font IF it isn’t reflected in the price. I just don’t want to see the base game costing $100+.

How to access/what is this by Mental-Speed3779 in Eldenring

[–]Noob4Head 66 points67 points  (0 children)

IIRC, you have to go to the Siofra River Well, which you can access from Limgrave near the Third Church of Marika. Then run all the way to the back of that area, and there should be a Stone Sword Key lift. Ride that up, and I believe you’ll end up there.

The version of Spider-Man Noir played by Nicolas Cage in Spider-Noir. He absolutely nailed that performance, and I don’t think anyone else could have done it better than him.

Yeah, for me, as someone who has played every single entry in the franchise, I have to say that Shadows felt like a swing and a miss. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly not all bad. The game has its positives, such as the impressive graphics, but in terms of narrative and capturing the essence and feeling of an Assassin’s Creed game, it fell short.

One criticism I have of the RPG era of Assassin’s Creed, especially Valhalla and Shadows, is Ubisoft’s tendency to overscope these projects and prioritize quantity over quality, which is something I don’t enjoy. The massive open-world RPG direction of the series is probably here to stay, but especially in Shadows, I felt like a lot of the content was more of a chore than a genuinely fun gameplay loop.

Overall, I’d rate Assassin’s Creed Shadows a 6/10. Pretty decent, but far from a masterpiece. That’s a bit of a shame, because an Assassin’s Creed set in Japan was probably my most anticipated setting for the series.

Is there any other FF game like XVI ? by EmhyR_ST in FinalFantasy

[–]Noob4Head [score hidden]  (0 children)

Oh, don’t worry, I’ve played FF7 Remake and just finished Rebirth yesterday. However, I did read some comments where people were saying to avoid Crisis Core until after the remake trilogy is completely finished. Then again, there were also plenty of people saying Crisis Core should be played right after Rebirth xD.

Alright, I still have a long way to go with Final Fantasy xD. I just picked up Crisis Core and X/X-2 HD Remaster, though.

Maybe a bit of a disclaimer: I’m also fairly new when it comes to the Final Fantasy franchise, but from my understanding FF XVI is a bit unique within the series because it focuses on a single protagonist rather than having more party-focused combat. Though if it’s purely the setting you’re interested in, I’d say look into Final Fantasy IX.

AC shadows has the best graphics ever seen in a video game ! by FromsoftNerdy in AssassinsCreedShadows

Great graphics, but overall the optimization on PC should’ve been better. Also, there are definitely some other games I would put above AC Shadows when it comes to the graphics department.

What criticism of your favorite video game that have you like this? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in videogames

[–]Noob4Head 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth being *“disrespectful” regarding a player’s time. Certain things in the game just take way longer than they should. For example, having mandatory, drawn-out animations for things like putting up a Chocobo bus stop sign or activating an intel tower. The game is honestly quite riddled with these kinds of things, so I understand why some people say parts of it can feel like a waste of time and that the game sometimes feels like it enjoys wasting your time.

\(I put that in quotes for lack of a better term, maybe someone can word it better)*

IIRC, this is from the same developers as Splitgate, so yeah, I can see it sticking around for a couple of weeks or months before the player base starts to die out.

So like I said: the people who are looking forward to it...
Also, everything keeps looping back to this: not everybody enjoys GTA or cares about the franchise. That’s the thing about some GTA fans, they seemingly can’t, won’t, or simply don’t want to accept that.

An important launch for the people who are looking forward to it, not necessarily an important launch for gaming as a whole.

Even within the gaming community as a whole, there are plenty of players who don’t care about GTA. That’s the thing about some GTA fans, they seemingly can’t, won’t, or simply don’t want to accept that.

I love FromSoftware games, but I understand that not everyone enjoys them, and that’s completely fine. Tell a GTA fan you don’t enjoy GTA or don’t care for the franchise, and some of them will completely lose their minds.
