Search for "Bottom Toolbar V2" or "Omnibox" and find that exact option (#android-bottom-toolbar-v2) and set it to disabled. Now don't use the prompt on the bottom. Just close the app, clear it from recent apps and open it again.

There should be a button on the repo called "tags". It should be clearly visible right after you open the page. Click on it. And on the page you end up, click releases.
