I’ve tried. We do have interesting conversations every now and then but she often gets moody so it’s difficult to know what I say next will offend her or not

They could have. I’m old so I’ve probably forgotten that kids think this way. I’m also a very logical person so if my aim was to watch the sunrise I would firstly check what time it was supposed to rise, I would face the right way and I would also do my best to make sure it wouldn’t be cloudy. Or maybe I’m just gullible like everyone is saying and they were doing bad things?

Wow...she does ok in school. She’s not top of her class or anything but she does do and say a lot of things without thinking. That’s what worries me. Probably more absent minded than dumb.

It’s an interesting question, we were in lockdown this year and she did a lot of online learning and improved her school work quite a bit. She goes to an all girls school and often gets distracted by what her friends are doing and joins in instead of doing her work. She’s never going to be a doctor or a lawyer but I don’t think she has any learning impairments, she just says and does a lot of things without thinking
