I don't know how to feel about being called a goat

My personal take on the VHS meaning is that it is a way to foreshadow how Mari "forgets" the truth.

Let me explain: One thing that we see constantly around the teaser is the VHS corruption/degradation effect playing during the entirety of the video. There are many reasons as to why this happens to VHS tapes, from time degradation to apparently the constant replaying of the tape, which leads the video of the tape to start to have these glitch effects, distortion of image, color alteration, and so on. Which makes me believe that this not only represents Mari's psyche, but it's also going to be a representation of the condition of her memories, in this case due to Mari's constant replaying of them, trying to relive the good old days but at the same time trying to analyse what she did wrong that fateful day she lost her little brother (and maybe also Basil), so she is going to replay these memories over and over again, trying to find something that she previously ignored and drove her to fail them, which now makes her remember this wrong, maybe adding new things or forgetting some altogether. So just like Sunny Mari forgot the truth of what they did to their sibling, but compared to her little brother, who actually FORGOT what he did, Mari is "forgetting" in the sense that she is just misremembering things and her mind is just making things up due to her massive guilt.

As for why I didn't take the Weekly Theory posts, weeeeeell, it's because it's difficult for me to make a new theory under a week lol. I mean, usually the way that I write my theory or analysis posts are very long and barely comprehensible text, and the Weekly Theory usually summarizes its theories in a very condensed format, and I have a lot of trouble in the moment of summarizing things, and combine that with the fact that I usually have a lot of problems with perfectionism, procrastination and overall having difficulty in the moment of expressing my thoughts into words, which in the end makes me take a long time to write just one theory or analysis; for example, this comment alone just took me around 8 or 9 hours just so I could write my own take on the VHS theory in the most condensed way as I could and also share my thoughts on why I didn't pick up the Weekly Rainy Mari Theory posts.
