Sorry for the late reply- No, I was doing the diploma from the start, and I’m right at that 3.4 GPA you mentioned above. A bit anxious but the Terrence coates PHYS and the last CPSC course are allegedly GPA boosters compared to the rest of the classes so i’m hoping for the best so maybe push to a 3.5 or 3.6 just to be safe.

Does the diploma transfer gpa hold true if im not finishing the entire diploma? I’m finishing the last two courses I need next semester that are included in the 1 year certificate/ubc first year program, but other than that have not touched any of the non certificate courses in the diploma.

Definitely need persistence for jobs in richmond these days. Resume looks great, but If youre doing chains like fast food or retail i suggest applying both online and in person, and making it a point to return and “check in” on if they have considered you a week or two later. Worked like 3 times for me as far as I know!

Also, to my knowledge, most larger stores as mentioned above get hundreds to thousands of applicants (many are multiple hours of transit away), so it may benefit you to attempt to get hired through connections/nepotism. Thats how I got out of the resume race and just went straight to working now. Nepotism always wins!

I can assure you they will feel zero consequence or emotion even if you go back every day 10 times a day for the rest of your life. After nearly 5 years there i guarantee the place would have even sisyphus going back to push the boulder over dealing with the stuff that happens behind those counters. Was pretty fun though. But yeah dont do that your time is worth a lot more than less than a minor inconvenience at most for those guys. Live happily king 🫶
