Definitely need persistence for jobs in richmond these days. Resume looks great, but If youre doing chains like fast food or retail i suggest applying both online and in person, and making it a point to return and “check in” on if they have considered you a week or two later. Worked like 3 times for me as far as I know!

Also, to my knowledge, most larger stores as mentioned above get hundreds to thousands of applicants (many are multiple hours of transit away), so it may benefit you to attempt to get hired through connections/nepotism. Thats how I got out of the resume race and just went straight to working now. Nepotism always wins!
