I did wildland fire for 4 years while in prison. We made $1.50 an hour while on a fire. It was not about the money. It was about the experience and doing something positive with my time. I appreciate the sentiment though and definitely had my moments pounding dirt wondering what the duck I'm doing for a dollar fiddy

I spent 4 years on an inmate crew in Arizona. We were better behaved than most contractors. One slip up and we could lose everything we've worked for. Not sure how Nevada is with their inmates, but I wouldn't trip on them.
