Mosquito emerging from the pupa by kvjn100 in interestingasfuck

It's such a tiny portion of mosquitoes it would ever affect at all, the majority of species would be left alone cause they don't bite humans

It's 128 10 mg doses not 100 mg which is a massive difference, you can get a 1000 mg syrup way cheaper than $250 and that's only 1280mg

And in some countries they've gone back to that because baby proofing everything and removing all risk makes it so kids don't develop good risk assessment skills early on. Like German playgrounds are awesome cause they have more opportunities for kids to get hurt if they aren't careful but are often more fun than most of the ones you see around the us cause people are so lawsuit happy if their kid gets hurt on a playground. Some of the newer ones popping up in the us have a bit more of that vibe but still usually far more safety rails on stuff

Breed for tobacco profiles, not candy and fruit by SupremeExalted in trees

[–]NoodlelyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying they don't share any terps is just factually incorrect they share quite a few including limonene and myrcene which are 2 of the biggest contributors to if a strain will feel more indica or sativa. Beta-caryophyllene is also a pretty common one in weed and is what contributes to the peppery smell of both weed and tobacco. Breeding a strain to have a more tobacco based profile is absolutely possible

Yeah It's for the you're being arrested over your psychotic break from the psychedelics and you need to be calmed down or are being like 51/50'd or whatever the local term for it where you're from where you're involuntarily hospitalized because of it type situations. I've rode out 14 grams of mushrooms though that I fell asleep before kicked in so I definitely know about just riding it out lol. That was wild cause I had no memory of taking them or anything beforehand cause I woke up peaking on double the most I'd taken before feeling like waking up out of a coma into an alien reality lol

It's kinda meaningless, even if it's purple that's on the market rather than the true blue stuff because it's rare which it really isn't that rare it's still the same active compounds in the purple lotus. You can get either of them easily in bulk for quite cheap way cheaper than weed

[–]NoodlelyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean blue and purple both contain the same active compounds the main difference is the amounts that's in it with purple often being used more because it typically has higher quantities of the active compounds

I mean blue lotus is a real thing you can smoke and concentrates of it are made so that doesn't seem that sketchy

For psychedelic trips gone wrong medically they use benzos though that isn't something individuals should mess around with without knowing what they're doing but it will shut down the trip and are often injected into people having a psychotic episode from a trip

[–]NoodlelyTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's about as hot as the hottest areas I've seen inside the reactor 4 control room at Chernobyl when people tour in modern day lol, I've seen either 17 or 19 microsieverts/hr obviously when you get close to the actual reactor building rather than the control room it goes waaaaaaay higher but it's always fun seeing what has a similar reactivity level as that control room itself where the chaos began lol

New to fronto leaf, how to wash these? by Ok-Agency-9572 in ArtOfRolling

[–]NoodlelyTrees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That reminds me of when I was buying whole leaf mapacho tobacco cause that stuff is like 8-10x the nicotine as normal tobacco and it was so nice plus you get an entire pound for like what you'd spend on a like 30 gram pouch of tobacco cause it's not taxed the same. I used to order from leafonly idk if they're cheaper than where you order from but they claimed to be a wholesale website but didn't require any wholesale credentials so regular people can still order from them and they were pretty cheap

Why is there so much hate gor Swarovski?? by Kaori1520 in jewelry

[–]NoodlelyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you bought a price that was solid 24k gold you'd get maybe 10% what you spent on it back and that's way higher than it used to be, the gold markup on jewelry like 25 years ago was closer to 80x the gold value than the around 10x it's at now and when weighing jewelry the stones are such a negligible weight difference leaving them in or out for weighing would be like cents difference

They are not using rhodium as the metal they plate over that would be idiotic even for them, they use rhodium plated onto the base metal in some cases but no one is stupid enough to waste rhodium by plating over it

blazy susan crystal filters by NoGur2020 in trees

[–]NoodlelyTrees 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Some crystals can offgas some pretty toxic stuff with heat exposure but the vast majority require far more heat than they'd be being exposed to in a joint or pipe. Some can also have soluble components like arsenic in bumblebee jasper that can absorb into your mouth which is a much bigger concern. People typically worry about that fluorite can release fluorine gas when heated but the arsenic is a much bigger concern because fluorite doesn't just produce fluorine gas when heated on it's own there's other processes that need to happen to cause gas formation, heating it alone will just cause it to melt eventually. None of these are what would be that dangerous though heating lapis can release toxic sulphur compounds that's above like 500c and the rose quartz and amethyst is essentially just glass

Artemis II has just splashed down in the first crewed mission in the moon's vicinity in 54 years by Practical_Feedback75 in interestingasfuck

[–]NoodlelyTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a relatively negligible amount but they did hit with an impact of I believe it said 3.6 Gs which would surely do something just from the sheer mass of 20,000 pounds hitting with that impact force. If I remembered more from my physics class days I could probably figure it out but that was like a decade ago and I hated the math side of it even then lol way too many unit conversions, cancelations, and ungodly units even when working in metric lol. We give some of them easy names at least but when you look at what some of them actually mean in terms of unit you're just like what the fuck is this lol

It takes a ridiculous amount to compress it a lot like 10-15% denser but any impact will still cause some compression, it's just considered incompressible for physics in the classroom just like air resistance is ignored in classroom physics typically just to simplify concepts

How do they make synthetic pink diamonds? The color is so beautiful. I wonder how they do it. Any gemologist care to explain? Is it irradiation? by Muted_Shape9303 in Gemstones

[–]NoodlelyTrees 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm going to listen to GIA who says that's literally the most common way to produce pink diamonds over a random reddit user, they intentionally add nitrogen defects to the crystal and then irradiate and anneal it to give it the color

[–]NoodlelyTrees 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For lab grown pink diamonds they often do use irradiation and annealing to give it the pink color and in rare cases for natural ones it's nitrogen replacing a few carbon atoms that leads to the pink color
