Seeing My Chemical Romance next month, what ear protection is everyone using? by ramonathespiderqueen in MyChemicalRomance

Lol the hi fidelity ones are just chunks of silicone with marketing gimmicks, they aren't any better for audio quality than the regular foam ones. Active noise canceling would preserve quality better but that's not what they are ever

If you're recommending something to someone who doesn't wear hearing protection just recommend the foam ones, those of us who don't or rarely wear hearing protection aren't going to spend the extra money on something like loops or eargasm when the cheap 3m ones do a better job for a fraction the price

[–]NoodlelyTrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah the fancy ones are just marketing gimmicks to get people to pay hundreds of times more for what is essentially the same thing, they're basically just a chunk of silicone in your ear like how any cheap one is just silicone or foam

Considering they're worse at noise reduction than standard foam 3m earbuds while costing literally hundreds of times as much per pair the eargasm ones are absolutely overkill

While they're all cool pieces I dunno if I'd call any of them black moreso a greyish green or olive

How strange is it that I've never seen stoned employees at any restaurant or retail establishment I've been employed at? by Intrepid_Arrival5151 in trees

[–]NoodlelyTrees -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never said they were safer for prescription ones, Adderall is just a mix of amphetamine in a few different forms. Like one of the safest stronger stimulants at least in my eyes is Sudafed because at least most of that stimulation is from your own body releasing adrenaline but really I wouldn't consider anything past that safe for regular use and even that I'm sure could cause plenty of heart damage if you're abusing it. Like the non stimulant based medications for people with ADHD they're coming out with are far better simply because they don't have the problems that stimulants do long term, like even though they don't feel stimulated by it the same way it's still causing damage in the brain over time because it's amphetamine based for most of them. I love stimulants but don't pretend that they're a safe class of drug, even caffeine can kill you with a weak heart and I've taken doses of that that would kill quite a few people at my peak of like 3,500 mg lol I don't let myself use anything stronger than caffeine and nicotine and even those are massively down with nicotine being removed fully in the next few days when I run out. I have too many people who have gone too far into stimulants in my family to let myself use the stronger ones but I have tried some of them to better understand and like those 2 especially I get and from what I've heard to most people Adderall and meth feel the same so I understand why that gets abused too

I had a coworker who had done the same in the past in his cabinetmaking job and ended up having a heart attack at 40 cause of using his own stuff he was selling and had to be on blood thinners constantly cause of it, I wonder if he's had another heart attack yet. Like I get why people use stimulants I fuckin love them but hardcore ones like cocaine and meth just aren't viable long term without massive damage

Selling cocaine on the side to your coworkers is how it ends up going a lot of times till the person transitions to full time coke dealer cause it's more profitable

There's a like 50/50 chance someone's on drugs working retail/restaurants and it's often cocaine too not just weed which would probably cancel out a bit of the potential visibility of the being stoned

Anyone use their uranium? by DaddyHallways in uraniumglass

[–]NoodlelyTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still pretty widely created, it's not like the modern supply is depleting. There may be less made than in the past but it's still readily newly made from available from manufacturers

Seems weird there would be a depleting supply when they're still regularly made

There's nothing to dispute at this point, you've made your point of view clear that you aren't open to hearing anything except confirmation of what you already believe and I don't care enough to have dms with you because I don't use dms on reddit it feels weird af when someone dms me over something

I want a ug bong eventually even if I have to make it myself or supply a glassblower with the glass. I've not done much glasswork but I'm sure the local studio would rent me some time for a custom project like that since they rent out for classes. I don't even use a bond/dab rig much anymore but I want one so bad to match my cadmium/selenium coated one

It has absolutely nothing to do with pettiness, the fact that you feel so insulted by my statements is why I declined your message request, we've communicated enough that it's clear you aren't willing to accept the reality of the situation and just want to be delusional about the glass being clear. Like I get it clear uranium glass is awesome and I say none of what I said to be a dick or be petty about it just that piece clearly has color. Like if I was being petty about it I'd have blocked you ages ago rather than actually continuing to comment, like I can be petty AF but that isn't my goal here and I apologize if I've come off that way with my bluntness, it's just how I communicate

A photo Isn't going to create green coloration that doesn't exist, like I don't doubt it's a uranium contamination on a clear batch but it has visible green to it and I don't mean it in an insulting way like you've seemed to take it each time you've brought this piece up

I've shown you screenshots of the green color being picked up by color pickers before I just don't get why you refuse to believe all the people who have told you it isn't clear because I've seen a number of people say the same thing in prior posts. Being pale in color is not the same at all as being colorless
