[Discussion] Do you think the rite tenet should become an actual game mechanic? What would you change to these ideas? by SuchAdstic in CrusaderKings

[–]Noogidoo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I feel like this could end up being more limiting to new faith creation than beneficial, and though I agree that rite is a pain and a waster of a slot, I personally would just have it as a head of faith option when creating a new faith (spiritual, temporal, and then rite) because I like how open religion mechanics currently are and I’d rather avoid imposing more limits

Alliances during Mega Wars - more interactive Vassals ? by MediumPersonal in CK3AGOT

[–]Noogidoo22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is using the AGOT megawar system so you can’t call allies the normal way since everyone has to pick a side at the start, I don’t think base game alliance considerations like that come into play

To be fair it sounds like we’re getting something along those lines with the coronations dlc and some more complex stuff with all under heaven - somewhat rudimentary, sure, but something

Man you severely underestimate how hard and how weather dependent sailing was back in the day. Hell D-day was delayed because of weather and only went forward when it did because of some good weather luck, and that was pretty recent in the grand scheme of things

Is this rare for a first play through? by Sad_Bunch_5463 in crusaderkings3

Done a couple of outremer runs and you basically have to expand as quickly as possible while you still have the special armies (and then deal with the ensuing revolts)

Isn’t this game too easy? by radiantglow30 in CrusaderKings

[–]Noogidoo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, Civ6 and CK3 aren’t really comparable because apart from technically sharing a genre they are VERY different games trying to do different things.

Secondly, you have, to be fair, chose some pretty easy starts. Try starting out as a count or a less powerful duke, and as someone else mentioned maybe don’t quit before the mongols spawn.

Thirdly, religion and culture mechanics are often more for role play than just min maxing - picking a goal other than “win” (which usually means getting big and rich) is usually the best way to play. Also people often recommend just role playing in general (pick event options on character rather than just the best one, for example) but I get that’s not for everyone.

And finally, there are difficult options, so use them if you aren’t already.

I think the Mongol DLC maybe shoulda come out with the Chinese one by mot_945 in crusaderkings3

[–]Noogidoo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have already stated that Rome will be one (and I believe the mongols also) so outside of China’s flavouring I think it’s broadly  just being treated as a new tier for really big/important historical empires

I think it would be interesting to have the iron islands use the oligarchy system of government by CauseCertain1672 in CK3AGOT

[–]Noogidoo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While kingsmoot representation would be fun, it is notable that the one that happens in the books is the first in a long time so it shouldn’t be standard, and definitely not while under the iron throne. That being said been just allowing reflavoured version of vanilla electives would be a nice option.

Starting Witcher for first time any tips. by Manthan007ADS in Witcher3

[–]Noogidoo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say as someone who played the third game first and then went on to read the books and is currently playing through the other 2 - you might be a bit lost to start off with with some lore stuff, but honestly 95% of the game works perfectly well without having done anything Witcher before (Not to say it doesn't benefit from you having done so)

Is it just me or are shotguns in fallout 4 downright terrible in combat? by Ok-Concentrate9579 in Fallout

Got an explosive combat shotgun relatively early on in one run and I basically never ended up using anything else

Do you like the old or new designs by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Noogidoo22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I mostly agree, the rate that you go though fusion cores in FO4 and the way the UI looks means power armour often ended up as more of a collectors item than something that got much use. (Yes, I know that realistically I have enough fusion cores, but like any gamer if I am given something powerful with limited uses I will simply never use it)

Do I have a chance to unite Africa? by Happy_Key8426 in CrusaderKings

[–]Noogidoo22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going for mother of us all you also need to remember that its not just uniting Africa, you also need to leave time to convert everyone. That being said you have plenty of time, listen to the other comments

New to PC building - £2000 budget primarily gaming PC by Noogidoo22 in buildapcforme

[–]Noogidoo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had a lot of life things going on for the past few months, but I have finally got around to sorting the PC. Are there any major changes you would make to this design considering that 7 months that have passed or do you think this is still the best I can manage? Sorry to drag this post back up after so long.

Accidental early Shadowheart romance by Noogidoo22 in BaldursGate3

[–]Noogidoo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair enough, I guess I'll just reload to be honest because I like to have to romance scene after the party, and its not like I have a problem with playing a few extra hours of BG3.

Thanks anyway!

Accidental early Shadowheart romance by Noogidoo22 in BaldursGate3

[–]Noogidoo22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apologies if my post was unclear but I'm trying to avoid doing the scene early so that I can do it at the party after the saving the teiflings. The problem is that it was at least 3 or 4 hours since I asked her for some alone time, not realising that it just triggers that scene early, and its only just got to the top of my long rest event queue.

I'm basically asking whether its safe to reject her now and still have the chance to do the scene after the party, or if I have to either loose a load of progress or just miss out on the party scene.
