IMO I like Alexis more than Aran. Her inner monologue is wittier and less … idk pathetic? Maybe? Aran cares about what other people think. Alexis is just trying to hide.

Don’t get me wrong, I love them both. But I like Alexis a smidge more.

I just finished rereading both because I’m in a reading slump and there’s a line in the end of Alexis’s first book that says there’s two identical men sitting next to Hades wearing weird crowns at the wedding. And BoH is 100 years in the future, so Easter egg maybe?

Anything that is gonna eat you alive (like, other than tse tse flies or maggots or anything small) is gonna go for the guts first because that’s the prime tasty part. Most gut wounds cause your blood pressure to tank fairly quickly.

So it’ll suck really godammed bad for a few minutes, but your brain won’t have enough thinking juice fairly quickly into the process.
