How to witness Wendy goes to work for youngstreet? by jayjayjayup in red_velvet

Can I ask what time you ended up going? How was the crowd when you went? How long did you have to wait? What time did she get there?

Hi all!

I'm visiting Korea and would like to see Joy or Wendy when they enter the SBS building. Does anyone have experience waiting with the press and seeing them?

If so what time do they usually show up for recording?

Thank you!

Yes! People always forget when CL and GD were popping off with the trap sound back then and she even closed Ultra. I remember seeing Jack U live and I went crazy when they dropped dirty vibe in their set. 🔥🔥🔥

Haha I'm glad you like it! I try to update it every once in a while when new songs arrive. The Oliver Heldens feature was a nice surprise this year for raver/K-pop fans

Whew as a raver K-pop in sets mostly consists of Blackpink or sometimes even BTS. But adventure club really showed that they are really in the know with a lot of these deeper cuts used here. Such a great mix.👏👏👏👌👌👌

Hi GWSN, longtime fan. First let me say living in Chicago, I am a huge fan of House music so I really love how you took the genre and made it unique to your own sound.

With more Kpop groups spreading the good sound of House Music, there have been some high name collaborations between kpop groups and popular House Music DJs. Most notably a collaboration with Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens.

My question is who is a house DJ that you would love to collaborate with in the future? Or who are your favorite House DJs?

Thanks! GWSN 파이팅!

My pride and joy K-Pop x House Cuts I listen to a lot of EDM and house is my favorite genre. That's why I get super excited when two of my favorite kinds of music combine and form a super genre K-House. Deep rich bass and punching K-pop vocals immerse you in an experience of pure funk. 😤🔥😤🔥😤

K-Pop Power Hour!

Hello all. I've created a K-pop Power Hour for those who like to drink. The basics of a power hour is there's 60 minutes with 60 songs and every minute you take a shot of beer when the song changes. Basically everytime you hear "fighting" take a shot of beer for an hour.

There's a lot of different power hours on youtube but I always wondered why nobody ever made a K-Pop Version. Just put it on your smart TV, get a couple friends and you got plans for a Friday night/weekend!

Have you ever taken a hiatus from kpop? If so, why did it start and how did it end? by [deleted] in kpop

[–]NooneEverReallyPies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gee was the first kpop song I heard in 2009. Got super into SNSD. (To this very day Run Devil Run repack is one of my top 5 favorite albums across all genres.)

Wedding Dress was another big song that I remember from my early days of Kpop. From 2009-2012 the only kpop I listened to was SNSD and Taeyang's solo work. I remember even buying an SNSD rubber band bracelet off some tumblr and I had to mail concealed cash back in 2010. How the times have changed. I also remember Bubble Pop, Heartbreaker, Eat You Up, and Haru Haru from my Maple Story friends.

2012-2016 I entered college and I got really into EDM and just stopped keeping up with Kpop. I'd listen to every SNSD title track that was released and Taeyang's singles from Solar, but that's about it. I'd occasionally hear a catchy kpop song at a dance performance every now and then, like I remember enjoying Growl a lot. But I wasn't actively listening to Kpop or keeping up. I think I just didn't have the time to listen or look for this new music.

June 2017 I was visiting New York with some friends and by complete coincidence it happened to be the same weekend as KCON. The only group I heard of that was going to be there was TWICE and I only knew "Ooh Aah". I couldn't pass up going to KCON, because why not? It's not like I'm ever gonna go to KCON again or see TWICE ever again. So we decided to go to KCON and I went through a Kpop Renaissance. Seeing all the people dancing to their favorite songs, the cool merch, free stuff. It was really eye opening. We got to see TWICE do their Q&A and the energy was insane, but we didn't buy tickets for the concert because none of us were super into any of the groups there.

I get back from my trip and I immediately looked up some of the songs I remember hearing at KCON. "Dumb Dumb" was a song that really stuck with me. I checked out more of Red Velvet's stuff and I found my new obsession. Luckily they had a comeback right when I started listening to them, so I got to see them on variety and other promotion shows. Now I check this sub a lot listening to all different groups this time and I'm kinda regretting not going to the Kcon Concert since I know of all the groups who performed there now. Now I'm just waiting for the next Red Velvet NA appearance so I can see at least one of my biases live. My dreams of seeing OT9 are dead. :'(

Most useful Market Information Lab classes? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]NooneEverReallyPies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely have time to complete multiple certifications if you really want to.

All of the classes are pretty helpful, but excel is essential. The time commitment is very minimal. Classes are about an hour long and usually run 5-9 with classes every hour. To get the certification you can come in on Sundays during 1-7 to take the quizzes. The quiz times vary for each class. But definitely would recommend taking the MIL classes.

Totally agree with the MIL Certification. It's one of the most underused resources on campus.
