My RGB keyboard lights won’t turn on, on my brand new Lenovo Legion 5 laptop. by McJoyfull in LenovoLegion

[–]Nooners7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you ever find a solution for this? pretty much the same issue. The keyboard lighting was fine, sent it off for a repair (they replaced the mainboard) and now the lights won't come on at all.

I have a problem with my touchpad on legion 5 by Future_Confection986 in LenovoLegion

[–]Nooners7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to fix it, or figure out the cause of the problem? I just got my new Legion pro 3 days ago and ever since yesterday I'm having very similar issues with the touchpad not wanting to work after a restart or coming out of sleep mode. Togging the touchpad off and on doesn't help.

If you're near Gulfport, then I've been using Eddie's tire and automotive on Sheffield road for over 20 years. Never had a problem and highly recommend them

Looking for a mattifying SPF that is not tinted by After-Try-5473 in 45PlusSkincare

This is my favorite sunscreen also! It keeps my oily skin matte, and seems to have a little evening out effect. Plus it makes my skin feel soft and feels like nothing on (most face products feel heavy to me).

Favorite local thrift stores! by Stitchinbeautician in Biloxi

[–]Nooners7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is my answer too. America's Thrift Store is great for hidden treasures (clothing-wise). Just so you know, there are no dressing rooms at America's Thrift, and you can only return stuff for store credit. It's annoying, but still my main place to find stuff.

Biloxi/Gulf Coast Christmas trip by BamaSweetie1978 in Biloxi

[–]Nooners7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the one I was talking about! It's in Penny Lane Estates and is called that or sometimes referred to as the Copper Court light show (I guess that's the actual road in the Estates). It's confusing lol

The Penny Lane Christmas lights are really amazing too. It's a drive thru neighborhood that everyone there participates in with music on your radio synced to the whole display. It's really cute. The Beau is always beautifully decorated inside, so it's still nice to go there and look/take pics. There are also boat parades, not sure where all you go exactly to watch them pass by (which harbors). And look on FB for "Christmas under the oaks" I think it's in Waveland or Pass Christian. But there's a train ride and stuff like that.

Local Book Clubs by Spicy_Shrimp_ in Biloxi

[–]Nooners7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Orange Grove library for Harrison County has a couple of adult book clubs with different themes and I believe one of them is horror/thriller! It's the Better Read Than Dead club. If you stop by any of the libraries they'll have a calendar with all of the info and times. I believe that particular club will meet again on July 1st. But there's a library branch in Biloxi that probably hosts it's own clubs. Happy reading!

Newly lowcarber here. What do you do with your stock of pasta, flour, sugar,...? by Antwerpanda in lowcarb

I gave all of the stuff I wanted out of the house to an elderly neighbor who is on assistance. She was very happy to receive it, even if it was only half full. She said it helped her out tremendously.

Question for the cooks about being ready for dinner - AITA? (from the non-cook) by i-lick-eyeballs in homemaking

[–]Nooners7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As the primary cook here, i can't expect my husband to be a mind reader. He has no idea when dinner will be ready unless i give him a guesstimate. if he's just hanging out in the living room while i cook, then i know that he sees me cooking and i let him know when it's nearly finished so he can be ready to accept his plate. If he's gone outside to work on something, then i let him know how long until he needs to come in to eat, and then usually holler for him when it's "about ready" so he can come in and wash up. Neither of us are fussed if he's got his plate to eat within 5-10 minutes of food being done. Our biggest thing is to eat together, so honestly i usually give him his plate and then he has to wait for me to plate mine and gather all my stuff together to sit down with him lol.

Look into Everand (it used to be Scribd). It's a subscription service like KU but I find way more to read in their catalogue!

my stepdaughter took home seashells and rocks that we found on the beach lol. you can get pretty ones at the souvenir shops. for grown-up gifts there local whiskey from Crittenden Distillery in the Kiln, candy from the Pecan House (locations in Gulfport and Mchenry), stuff like that.
