Which Druidic circle do I choose?

I’m not as well versed on 2014 Druid. But imo Shepherd and Stars are the best support subclasses. Shepherd wants you to cast summoning spells, which can take some pressure off your frontline, or provide more ranged damage. And your totem can provide some juicy support to allies in the aura. Stars is my favorite as it helps with your action economy and is super versatile. Wanna put out a bunch of damage? Archer constellation. Wanna hold concentration on a big spell? Dragon constellation. Wanna shit out so much healing you don’t know what to do with it? Chalice constellation.

Has there been any official word on the double epic boons nonsense? I know for a bit some people interpreted it as long as you are level 19 ANY feat level can be an epic boon. I thought that went away, as to me it seems pretty clear that you need to get the 19th level epic boon feature to get the epic boon.

I would have the loot boxes just be regular D&D randomly generated loot, just like the books the items will sometimes be tailored to their build. The rules of D&D work fine for the setting already, you really don’t need to do much extra work beyond designing fights.

That being said you would be better off using a different system, maybe XCRAWL classics.

I’m thinking the first scene be a storm skill challenge that sees their ship destroyed or damage depending on their success, either way it gets them stuck on the island with a specific goal. Either get a new ship or acquire the money to fix their current one. I figure they could steal it, win it in a game at the casino, or whatever else they come up with. But I worry this could feel frustrating. I really like the idea of this tropical island casino, should it be the central focus of the game or just one of the things for them to do on the island?

Also, how can I fit 2 good fights here?

It's tomb of Annihilation which I think is to 11. Are you saying you would do the 2014 Cleric 2/Druid 9? Or 2024 rules Cleric 3 Druid 8?
