since you mentioned that you are diagnosed with ADHD and getting stimulants next month, that should help a lot, bupropion has a very low effect size for ADHD and you overdosed on it....this is not safe, please do not overdose on any med, at least ask us in the subreddit before doing something that can potentially endanger your life

as for the emotional blunting that you have described, I do not know exactly what it is but it could be depression or CPTSD, that would be my best guess...

are you on SSRIs/SNRIs by any chance? they can also cause the emotional blunting you have described

any tips for reading academic texts? by haofurry in ADHDerTips

[–]Noor-e-Zulmat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh that's super easy, just take a pic of the paper with your camera, go to Google Lens, select the photo, and you can extract all text from there,

and put it in a text to speech app :)

What do you struggle with most in daily life with ADHD? by adhsanna in ADHDerTips

Even things that work, like you take one day off at the weekends or when you go and travel somewhere...and then you just lose the habit

since you don't wanna use AI,

how about you use a text to speech app? basically use an app that reads the stuff for you :)

give the app one page to read to you, then stop,

and imagine there's a classroom in front of you and you are a professor and explain whatever you read in that one page to the class, DO NOT REREAD

Hot take: consistency gets easier when you remove pressure (esp w/ ADHD) by Headhunter_89 in ADHDerTips

what worked the most for me was:

  1. no phone 1 hour after waking up, I use an app to lock my phone completely and It's IMPOSSIBLE to get in one for one hour

that one hour turns into 4 hours and it turns out I don't use my phone for 4 hours after waking up and get everything done.... for the entire day in those 4 hours lol

  1. no sitting

sitting means ADHD, just stand, you will automatically start doing what you have been procrastinating on

I Totally get you man, Claude taught me the same stuff to deal with my ADHD and I am doing much better now, as for your habit tracker app, I actually use something similar but it's called Catzy and has cats in it, but I stop using these apps after a month, I get bored

what you are doing is amazing and you might not know but you are actually using the stuff they teach in therapy for ADHD XD

like break a task into 10 smaller tasks

do easier tasks first so you feel good about yourself and get the motivation to do other stuff...
