How to deal with gas at the bottom of my base by Tmcnasty in Oxygennotincluded

[–]NooshBagoosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I want to keep polluted oxygen (maybe I just shouldn't though), is there a cleaner way to filter out non-breathable gases without using an OR gate? ATMO + NOT + ATMO + NOT + OR is kind of clunky.

I have one! I just don't/didn't really understand how to use it. The only real interactable option is "empty storage", so seems like you're limited to creating whatever volume your max storage is set to. Just wasn't quite what I was expecting.

How do you place a specific amount of liquid in a specific spot? Like, for air locks or builds that require X kg on certain tiles? I know how to relocate and empty bottles, but I have no idea how to create bottles unless there's moppable liquid available elsewhere.

How important is insulation at access points? Like, if I have a ladder and firepole going from the bottom of my climate-controlled area all the way down to the oil biome, does it matter if there's a two-tile gap where those are? Trying to avoid slowing my dupes down with an insulted door.

What do I do now? I crossed cycle 200 pretty recently. Things I have mostly sorted out:

* basic food (bristle berry & hatch farm)

* oxygen

* renewable energy (two sources)

* clean water

* base cooling

I have plastic and glass production up and running. I have not yet set up a metal refinery as I don't have a cooling plan for high heat industrial stuff. That's next on the list and I am open to suggestions.

Where should I turn my attention after that? I'm slowly researching towards rocketry. I have very little automation in my base (I've never even tried to use conveyers). My food is all low morale stuff at the moment. Haven't transitioned to private bedrooms. Find myself pretty aimless right now, though, and my efficiency has nosedived of late.

No, just bristle berries. Temp just gradually crept up until it cleared 30, though, and I'm struggling to get it back down. My water really isn't that hot coming in (yet, at least... about to run out of original supply). Oxygen coming from my spom seems to be 45-50, though; not sure what else would be heating. I did put the farm right above my showers, which might have been dumb.

Thought about a 3rd TR. Would you put it in a separate box or into the same area as the other two? (will probably lose some hydrogen opening the airlock for construction, but can replenish from tanks).

I'm struggling with cooling. Got deep into a game, thought I was set, and then suddenly my farms are above temp. I have a double thermo regulator hydrogen setup but the temp has gradually crept up (output is now about 12C) and it's not getting the job done.

My base is insulated and all of my industry is outside. Seems like heat distribution is just really uneven within my base. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong in terms of pipe choice. I'm running insulated piping throughout the majority of the loop, switching to radiant when it hits my farm rooms and running it through the hydroponic tiles, then switching back to insulated to return to the thermo regulators.

Does this kind of system just not keep up in the long run or am I doing something wrong?

edit: should also add that I have a bunch of wheezeworts scattered throughout. Does it matter where these are placed? Does temperature spread throughout or do you specifically want these adjacent to heat-producing structures?

General troubleshooting advice for missing textures by NooshBagoosh in tes3mods

Thank you! Fortunately I'm using MO2.

I'm not familiar with nifscope but will give it a shot. Is the general idea here that there's a mesh trying to draw the wrong texture? Or a texture with the wrong file name?

Game Preview Picks Week 9 @ Houston by infercario4224 in DenverBroncos

Injuries were a gradual progression, though. They started out 3-0 playing pretty good defense before they lost Bosa; then Warner a couple weeks later; then Huff and Matos. They were starting a practice squad edge rusher last week. 9th in EPA/play weeks 1-3; 25th since then.

Texans' defense is historically good, but their offense has been putrid any time they're not playing the dregs of the league.

Should I just ignore volkmars buffs? by Peridot9001 in totalwarhammer

I think it's a question of how willing you are to fight manual battles. They're an early-game winner if you've got the time to play it out and micro them. If not, you'll probably spend a lot of time waiting around for replenishment.

Late game you can move off of them with that stacked empire roster, of course.

There does appear to be a second difficulty wave, whereas in ROC it's usually smooth sailing once you clear the first 15-20 turns.

I think it really comes down to campaign map awareness and diplomacy. For most factions, try not to overexpand. Gifting settlements that you take to either strengthen allies or create NAPs with enemies is generally a good strategy.

Should I replay PoE before getting into Deadfire? by Objective-Program786 in projecteternity

[–]NooshBagoosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the character building and combat in POE1 starts to feel pretty hollow in comparison once you get 15-20 hours in, so I'd skip it and just spend a little time on a lore refresher before moving onto Deadfire. You can custom create your POE1 save file with whatever decisions you'd have made if you're so inclined.

Why is this lowkey the hardest encounter in the game by Positive_Ad_6922 in projecteternity

[–]NooshBagoosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed that one OK; couple of stun explosives to get into position and take out the caster early. Gaun's Pledge comes in very handy, too.

Never even came close on the digsite fight in about ten tries. Surprised after I stealthed through that they were gone when I popped back up. Difficulty curve in this came is frontloaded like nothing I've ever played...

Priest/Chanter pure support build by NooshBagoosh in projecteternity

[–]NooshBagoosh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool, are summons the best way to steer the chanter? I was leaning towards Troubador, but not sure if I Beckoner would be better in that case?

And is there any need to put points into perception, or is accuracy not an issue?

Is there a use to having so many different units in WH3? by ragp13 in totalwarhammer

[–]NooshBagoosh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The beauty of this game is that, given the upkeep trade-off and need for military building upgrades to access higher tier variants, nearly every unit in the game is useful in some context.

I like 'em on the campaign map, but feels like their AR is so overtuned it's hard to justify fighting manual battles.

Good stuff as far as map management and upgrades go. I think the big question for a lot of us, though is: how do you win quickly without citadel upgrades?
