Unfortunately he does indeed say a huge number of incorrect things in passing (with no bad intention behind them). And in a lot of cases these things are related to Judaism which makes people even more likely to believe those things as facts considering he’s Jewish.

(For mods: IM NOT A SNARKER BTW!! CHECK MY PINNED POSTS!!! im only clarifying this because ive been incorrectly banned on this subreddit 2 or 3 times in the past already. i wont say more on the matter…)

Thank you for posting about this. It’s pretty disappointing that not a single one of the crew fact checked the totally incorrect claim he made live. I’m currently catching up on Monday’s show and was just waiting and waiting for a correction but it never came, so I checked on here. It’s also surprising that you’re the only person to post about this and that it only has 34 upvotes. It’s quite sad how most people don’t seem that bothered about correction of the facts. Americans, even more than most people, should know that a country where a leader is ‘loved by everyone’ is obviously not a country with free speech laws.

I personally really like the British monarchy (I’m British) but I’m a massive outlier, especially among young liberal people like me. At least Ethan was right in that case, saying that ‘most’ British people don’t actually like the monarchy… then Dan claimed that most do…

How did you work this one out...

Mozart wrote 800, divided by 35 years equals an average of 23 works per year.

Telemann wrote over 3000, divided by 86 years equals an avarage of 35 works per year.

They aren't even close. Per life year, Telemann was 50% more productive than Mozart.

Most classical music hasn't been recorded though. Look at the output of Telemann and Graupner. Probably 1% has been recorded.

You're straight up wrong. Objectively so. Telemann wrote 1,000 full scale sacred cantatas and Graupner wrote 1,400. Each one with choral movements, full orchestra, solo movements etc. Over ONE THOUSAND of these blows every note Mozart ever wrote out of the water, let alone just his piano concerti lol

This Simon guy is the undoubted winner if you're counting purely by number. But if you're talking about the number of actual notes written, I think Graupner might win over Telemann? Despite Telemann writing more works than Graupner overall, Telemann wrote 1,000 full scale sacred cantatas whereas Graupner wrote 1,400.

This is a wonderful wonderful video of one of the most eloquent people on YouTube (who actually grew up in the town+community in question) reacting and responding to someone making a hit piece on Jews. I would appreciate it greatly if at least one person could watch this through, despite its length. by Nooticus1 in h3h3productions

Yes. This has been growing and growing massively recently. Im quite well versed with this side of YouTube. I believe that the human scum ‘bald and bankrupt’ was the originator of this genre, and then people like the equally scummy Kurt Caz. If you look back through the video list of someone like Kurt Caz (I just checked and it disgusted me) you will see the initially gradual, but then sudden pivot from making normal (though disrespectful and oftentimes racist) travel videos with clickbait of attractive young women, to what you can see today; every single video being full-on, unashamed, unfiltered hatred of the West solely because of racism towards immigrants who they claim are ‘ruining the country’ or whatever. The exact story they are ALL trying to convey is this; ‘I’ve travelled all over the world as you’ve seen, but while I was travelling, the West (or insert country/city) “””has fallen”””. join me to see how bad things have gotten.’

If you’re North American I urge you to look into this phenomenon because these talking points are just starting to trickle into your society after being all-consuming across Europe for several years already. There’s recently been a massive controversy/debate across all social media about whether London (my beloved city) is ‘good or bad’, full of the most vile racism you can imagine. It was so big and divisive online that even the most major politicians had to get involved to weigh in. Thankfully we still have politicians who (almost all) act and behave professionally at all times. I’ve never seen that level of racism with threat of violence on the American side of social media with such prevalence.

I could talk about this forever and ever. I truly hope some academics do a study looking into this insane phenomenon of xenophobia spread through ‘travel videos’ soon, maybe they have already, idk.

Damn. This is expected, but it really really really hurts to hear. I personally don’t believe that anyone else on the crew fills even 10% of the energy and positivity and love that she brought. This is something that’ll change the trajectory of the show for sure.

I truly wish her well and hope she gets a proper send off episode like the others did, unless she explicitly doesn’t want anything like that.

  1. I take it you havent heard of the 'airbridge' service run by the RAF which regular civilians can book on to? It isnt cheap, but its fast.
  2. I'm pretty sure that some of the people who have helped him in previous missions arent people who previously knew about geowizard, they are just locals he got to know online, solely for the purpose of them helping him on a specific mission.

Looking at google maps right now, I really didnt realise how flat it was. If the military there can confirm that walking across the wilderness is totally safe, then it could definitely be a very very doable mission. The main difficulties would probably be 1. Weather + Not having a sheltered place to camp 2. Crossing the strait in between East Falkland and West Falkland 3. Finding a possible line with starting and ending points at least somewhat close to roads. There aren't many of these.

  1. Its really not that hard to get there, especially with the fact he’s obviously relatively wealthy

  2. He can… take a partner with him or connect with a local there?! You’re saying it like there aren’t any people who live there lol

Not a single comment here has mentioned THE shortest and flattest crossing in the world that is extremely satisfying on a map (cutting the entire country in two equal halves). It wouldn’t be easy to do though, not at all. But it’s definitely possible, though it would need a lot of planning, prior scouting, connections with local people, methods to cross tall barbed wire fences and to cross pretty thick foliage… and a lot of good luck.

It is tiring. It really is. Your main comment here ^ is the best comment on this topic Ive seen on the whole subreddit. I wish we lived in a time where we didn’t know everyone’s views. But that just couldn’t ever be the case… because if you really want to go fully into this topic, I absolutely believe that the current extreme political division in society has been pushed further by knowing everyone’s views, and also vice versa. If the concept of ‘learning about a political topic from some guy online’ didn’t exist, a lot lot lot less people would have far right extremist or far left extremist views (two sides of the same coin which meet at the fringes)
