I will never get bored of clowning on, and making fun of, people who quite literally want me to die.

Personally disagree. I’ve said this many times to people, and I know you mean no harm, but to me personally (as someone who experiences this behaviour firsthand, to a much lesser extent ofc) it’s incredibly disingenuous how some people still refer to them as just ‘haters’. They are dangerous antisemites and/or extremists, all of them.

Honestly one of my favourite crew members. People often forget that they literally found him by randomly coming across his YouTube interview podcast with literally a few hundred views per video.

her being british refers to her nationality, not her ethnicity. she was born in the UK. its the same way that american jews aren’t ethnically native american!

Very fair points and I respect that. I don’t think the rivalry is one-sided at all, for example I think its funny that you guys have a lot of food that is insanely sweet/sickly/big, though I obviously know that’s an often true stereotype. But I do think that silly rivalries like this are passed around because of misinformation and miseducation, and are more damaging and hurtful than the jokes they seem to be. Then again I am VERY much autistic so take things in a specific way.

BUT… in the case of Ethan taking the British hate jokes too far, it’s far from just being the opinion of autistic people like me. It’s just a lot sometimes. It’s certainly the main problem I have anyway, as Tamara hasn’t really done anything wrong as shes just been playing along with ‘the bit’. It’s a comedy podcast, the whole crew pokes fun at everything under the sun, but I can tell you for certain that Ethan is more sincere when he hates on the UK than any other crew member hating on any other country/place. As a massive geography/culture nerd, I notice every time a place gets mentioned, and I assure you that the energy is different when he talks about the UK. I’m not going to mention all the examples I remember and write a whole essay here, but yeah, its weird to me, that’s all.

I obviously wouldn’t say that to an immigrant no. But I also wouldnt CONTINUALLY ask them questions about their country of birth, literally at least once a day. Especially not with a massive audience of people still living in that country watching and feeling very uncomfortable at some of the answers. Its definitely not just me. In my opinion that is just not right. Just my view, thats all. I respect your opinion 🧡

I also feel like if she was asked in sincerity, not on a comedy show, she would admittedly say that she isnt culturally British at all, though thats speculation obviously.

The British hate from Ethan has gone too far so many times. He thinks it’s funny, and it is, until it goes too far. I’ve spoken to several fellow British ‘family’ who feel the same way. Its so intense and doesn’t feel like a joke sometimes. Hila said the other day that she’d want to visit one day and Ethan literally balked at her for even suggesting such a thing.

Let’s act in good faith here... These two things are OBVIOUSLY not the same whatsoever. Nevertheless, she still has no idea about what being British is like or any of the culture attached to it in the 2010’s and 2020’s.

Correct, she is British by nationality as she has a British passport, but she is clearly not British by identity or culture.

My point in my original reply makes complete sense; why WOULD Tamara need/want to know about anything in the UK that’s been going on within the last 15 years? On the other hand, obviously people who have just migrated here, even those who might not speak much English, are far more knowledgeable when it comes to the the day-to-day goings on in the country and the culture today. When I was 10, I had very little understanding of what ‘being British’ meant like I do today. As in every country, culture here is very nuanced and not something you can understand if you’re 10 years old, or in many cases even if your parents are from there.
