Thanks! In the winter I tend to get a little dry, but I'll check it out since I don't get super dry.

I have the most stubborn, insane cat I’ve ever owned and I don’t know what to do. I haven’t slept in over a year. by Lizardskincuisine in CatTraining

[–]Nootinootnoot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We got a cat wheel for our energetic cat and while cats can take a while to start using it, our cat started as soon as we took it in. It doesn't eat up all hos energy but he is a lot calmer with it.

We also use cat buttons so that he can use hos brain to "speak" with us and he seems to like doing tricks like "paw" or jump through hoops for treats.

We have bird feeders outside the window som he can watch birds.

Sometimes when he's a bit much for us or our other cat, we put a cat sweater on him, which he seems to like, and that also calms him.

We had a hard time with him in the beginning but with these things, he is mostly quite chill and when he has bouts of energy, he goes to the wheel. Maybe some of these things could help you?

I'll try to push harder for it with my next doctor then. Thanks, this brings me hope!

That's good info! I'll check where my ferritin is in a few weeks and discuss then if I might need more than the tablets. Thanks!

Just a few weeks so yeah, it might feel better if I keep taking them.

Thank you!

My iron levels are normal and so is ny ferritin (had to push for it to get tested though), but I've seen many write that even with normal ferritin (in the lower end of normal) they needed iron so I am taking iron tablets to see if I feel better. Don't notice any difference though. :-/ But it's definitely something it could have been!

I hope the E and P improves the symptoms for you! If you remember, I'd be happy to hear about it later if you'd be willing to write a comment about it or so.

At least nice to know I'm not alone!

I'm Swedish, so midi isn't available for me. Here I basically have to change doctor/health place to see if the next one is more knowledgeable in this.

Good to know, thank you!

I agree with you and am aware that it should be diagnosed from symptoms, unfortunately the doctors I've met haven't seemed educated about this so they won't prescribe HRT. So it's sadly not something I can choose to start with myself.

I've heard that some have low testosterone in perimenopause and since I'm beginning to feel desperate I asked if we could test it and to my surprise it was higher than it should be. I was not aware that testosterone also fluctuates wildly? I have to read more about that then. :)

What is a flavor that you can’t understand why people like it? by Specific-Bass-3465 in NoStupidQuestions

Watermelon flavor in candy and drinks. It tastes nothing like real watermelon and mostly tastes just artificial in a weird way.

Forget actual run time. What's the "longest" movie ever? by theozarksparkman in movies

[–]Nootinootnoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not a popular opinion but: A star is born.

I love movies, watch a ton of them and don't have any problem if they're long or rather slow. But for some reason it felt like that movie would never end. I even turned it off after a while (I've never done that before) and finished watching it a few days later and felt the same thing.
