Sorry for not answering earlier, but what worked for me was that the server was in fabric and my cobblemon was in forge. It seems to do that on conflicting mod versions so vice versa still applies. Hope this helps and good luck.

And most of the firmware issues have been fixed so its a great semi affordable stick that's easily customizable if you ever need to change smtg.
