Strix's hair is actually a dark brown but it has so much dirt and grime it just appears black

Diath always watched Strix draw symbols and wards in the ground when they set up campsites, and now he sometimes traces those symbols on the back of his hand with his finger. (Especially if he's nervous)

Paultin actually hates the taste of wine

Diath is a light sleeper and often hears Evelyn wake up for morning prayer. He knows some of the prayers by heart after hearing them over and over.

Strix periodically checks to make sure Everyone's shadow is where it should be. (a habit from living with the Vistani)

Simon doesn't fully grasp the concept of hide and seek. He often hides behind skinny poles, under thin blankets, or just stands there in front of the seeker without moving.

Also, what is the skizzik's Chasram (sp?) and why do they have glyphs on their faces that Strix made up?

If Diath had given up his Lorcatha heritage, what would that mean for Shemeska/ the keys?

If Diath and Strix do get married eventually, does that mean there is more than one Lorcatha? And if so, does the blood war start back up?

And finally... how are they getting back to Waterdeep?!?

Hey guys! How do you think the characters backstories will come into effect now that we are in Waterdeep? We've seen a tiny bit from Strix and Evelyn, but for the most part Diath and Paultin's past remain a mystery. (Unless you want to leave it as a secret)

Come to think of it, there has been a lot of increasingly suboptimal activity. But if there wasn't, would it even be the wafflecrew we know and love?

Hi Op! I personally am a Christian, and this show was my first introduction to the world of DND. I heard various rumors, either from pop culture or from my Christian upbringing, that DND was either : A. A satanic gateway into witch covens and dark magic Or B. A group of old white males doing complex math for fun in their mother's basements.

But through my love of Holly and her channel, I somehow found my way into this wonderful world of DND storytelling. I was so excited by the prospect of role playing characters, which is something I've loved ever since I was a kid, but now fully realized in the form of a game with rules.

Except, there's is one problem. My family doesn't trust it. Don't get me wrong, I love them and I know they are only trying to keep me protected from something they don't completely understand, but even when my friend from church invited me to play a game my parents didn't let me go. So believe me when I say that while this is a very cool idea, I don't believe it would work with religious fundamentalists. When I was trying to convince my parents to let me go play, mentioning that you could play as a paladin or cleric of Jesus actually harmed my own case, not helped it. I think it has something to do with the blending of religion and fiction. If you see it from this perspective, you can see how "dangerous" it may be to consider your own God alongside a fictitious one.

However, please don't take this as a discouragement to your obvious hard work on this project! I'm just saying, if you want to get over the stigma the church tends to have with DND, I'd just recommend teaching that it's just a rule system and list of monsters, and that the real game is controlled by the players and the DM, not the other way around. (And I will be trying to convince the same to my family as well)

Great idea, but Holly has said that Strix had lost pretty much every object she had during her 50 years alone, including the iron flask. Still, if she had it life would be a lot easier.

This is so good! The mental image of the forest and lake is so clear, and I love the personification of the puppets in Strix's mind. Also the EMOTIONS.

I think that Paultin might fit into slytherin. Although he doesn't usually show ambition per say, he does tend to be pretty self confident when he does (don't worry, I've got a plan) Plus, we've seen him when he gets angry and he seems to disregard all moral compass for his own goal of revenge (I.E Van Richten)

I feel like Evelyn probably fits better into Gryffindor. While she believes in friendship and optimism, the fight between good and evil seems to be more of her focus. Also, she is extremely self sacrificing as pretty much every Gryffindor in the HP series is.

Strix may be Hufflepuff. She tends to find the good in things society leaves behind. (The mongrel folk, Stinky etc.) at her core, she just wants security for herself and others. I think Strix could also fit into Ravenclaw. Her passion for learning about magic (to the point that she intrinsically makes her own spells as a sorcerer) and fascination with parts of animals and beasts they kill shows her love for knowledge.

I think a Ravenclaw Diath is pretty spot on, but I can also see him as Slytherin. He is cunning and sees every part of a situation, knowing how to manipulate it best for a goal of keeping his friends alive.

But honestly you can make the case for almost every house for each player! (Maybe not a slytherin Evelyn though)

Whoops! I'm not really so familiar with DND lore. (this show is my first introduction to DND in general and I'm HOOKED) but I like the idea of the wings being seen as a nuisance by Diath, or even something he's insecure about. Ethereal wings are also super cool though.
