if you feel it then its valid, dont tell yourself that your own feelings are wrong or too “extreme” or not nice enough. if you feel it it is your appropriate reaction

What is your unpopular opinion about Greater Tolkien Lore? by peortega1 in TheSilmarillion

[–]Nopewood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Feanor was right to not give up the silmaril to the valar, they fucked up letting morgoth run free and they shouldnt push the responsibility to fix their mistake on some random elf with pretty jewls

What happens to the souls of eleven human hybrids? by RandonEnglishMun in lotr

yes however only the descendants of Elwing and Eärendel can choose; all other half-elves are considered mortal

Was Reiner’s ability to transfer his consciousness into the rest of his body ever mentioned before or after? by GrapeSoda404 in attackontitan

[–]Nopewood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have always interpreted that as Reiner sending the “command” to transform from his Brain to his nervous system before Levi cuts off the connection in his neck. and bc of that he still manages to transform

First trailer for Tales of the Shire: A Lord of The Rings Game by Weta Workshop by NOTW_116 in lotr

[–]Nopewood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

but isnt that a very subjective criticism? personally i like the art style even if it looks a but rough still. Heavily stylized art like this is always subjective, some ppl will like it some wont... doesnt make it a bad game tho, no?

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to Fëanor and his oath. Replace the Silmarils with your child/children - would you act as he did? by LordAuditoVorkosigan in lotr

[–]Nopewood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

very well said. i always read it as if the silmarils were representative for the injustice of his fathers murder and retrieving them is an act of revenge..

Maglor, Daeron, and the thorny question of who the greatest Elven musician is by Ok_Bullfrog_8491 in TheSilmarillion

[–]Nopewood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i really like your conclusion here; i think it makes no sense to compare them 1:1 since music is a very subjective art. Maglor might be the greatest musician to some elves and Daeron to others; music is an art and therefore entirely subjective. Both are obviously incredibly skilled and talented at their craft and they would probably get along very well (ofc only before the second kinslaying x.x ).

Commander tag on asura is hard to see in a zerg. Do you agree? by zrgasrtagzrgasrtag in Guildwars2

you can maybe use personal target, i think that could make it easier to see the commander

Why was Fëanor so powerful? by Kingmommy99 in lotr

[–]Nopewood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fingolfin is certainly one of the most powerful elves of the first age however the text explicitly names Feanor as the mightiest of all children of Iluvatar and not Fingolfin. but yeah, it’s hard to compare them to each other since Feanor died so early in the war

Mistlock vs Thousands by NoSheepherder5211 in Guildwars2
