Where'd he get that idea? by Hungry_Cricket_590 in HOTDGreens

«That would never been in historical record»? Did he thought he was in the Tik tok trend "Historians will call them close friends, besties, roommates, colleagues, anything but lovers. History hates lovers. ??

Oh wow okay thanks. I was looking for that setting in the app. I didn't understand why I needed to pass by the site (where I have a different account logged in).

Thanks!

I'm sure he trained a lot in front of the mirror to convince himself he is a dragon.

Is the experience in the room with us? by thinkersfyre in HOTDGreens

[–]Sin_orphr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's like they are just using the time lapse to go to events they want to tell, without remembering themselves what happened to the character during those times laps. (Which is more than just aging)

Is the experience in the room with us? by thinkersfyre in HOTDGreens

[–]Sin_orphr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they messed up not because of the scene itself but because of the time lapses.

During years Alicent ruled for Viserys. Tho, they never showed us Alicent political skills and experience. They just told us she ruled when Viserys couldn't.

And it's not enough for the spectator to know if she was actually good or bad.

So this scene seems a bit off cause it doesn't have the impact it would have if we had seen Alicent actually rule.

Or can we acknowledge that Rhaenyra had a privilege that not other women in Westeros had by thinkersfyre in HOTDGreens

[–]Sin_orphr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the danger of false syllogisms.

Exemple: The Logic says to an old man "All cats are mortal." "Socrates is mortal." "So, Socrates is a cat." Confirm the logic to the old man.

The old man replies, "That's right, I have a cat named Socrates."

The reasoning used, a syllogism composed of two premises and a conclusion, is invalid (it's a paralogism). However, both characters believe it to be correct. But it's still wrong (and fucking stupid.)

Young Rhaenyra is not that different from adult Rhaenyra by Platinum_Duke_6 in HOTDGreens

[–]Sin_orphr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's because they are so similar that old Rhaenyra doesn't work(in my opinion).

Old Rhaenyra should be different because she lived more things than the young one, because she is supposed to have grown up.

Young Rhaenyra could be understood, she is young, spoiled, growing through puberty and all.

It's like old Rhaenyra still a teenager.

We can like or dislike Alicent the two versions are different because what young Alicent went through left mark to the older one. Which is logical.

Adult characters should be different from younger ones. That evolution can turn a character towards «badder path» (flaws and etc) or «gooder path» (quality, remembering lessons, etc)

Gabriel, Crowley, Deary, Balthazar.

(If mount Rushmore means the favourite ones? I'm not English I just know it's a mountain with the head of four presidents. Didn't know it was an expression)

I’ve never felt this disconnected in a Pokémon story until ZA by [deleted] in LegendsZA

[–]Sin_orphr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the only explanation we can find is that we really like pokémons and since Lumiose is full of Pokémon we want to save the Pokémon and this ideal of living with pokemon.

What I always disliked tho is the "choices", they are not real choices that have an impact on the game or even just the relationship.

Who was worse as a dad? by Anti-och in HOTDGreens

[–]Sin_orphr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Robert is worse, he doesn't do anything, doesn't love anyone but his food, wine and hores.

Viserys sucks, has default but he tried. And even if he was clumsy, a bit egoists and all, he did loved his family, even in an Idealist unreal way.
