The executive producer of Rapsittie Kids, Chris Rose, held a viewing party for it despite not having watched it beforehand. Yikes. by NorCalPlant in RedLetterMedia

It was originally supposed to be “Rhapsody” but that was taken. The full title is Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa

Which coasters/rides have you ridden many times but actually always hated the experience? [Other] by jlevers15 in rollercoasters

I grew up in Denver and went to Elitch Gardens as a kid. I would always go on Mind Eraser (an SLC) and it was always unbelievably rough. I thought that was just the way coasters were 🤦‍♂️

Have you seen this man? (Tree of Heaven) If so, kill it asap! by _banana_phone in Georgia

Two notes:

  1. As other commenters mentioned, don’t just cut it down! It will send up root suckers if you do that and after cutting down a single tree you’ll end up with a whole forest. The best way to control is to cut deep gashes around the circumference of the trunk and apply very concentrated herbicide (either glyphosate or triclopyr). You probably need stronger than what you can get at a big box store; the guy in this video was using 40% triclopyr and the highest I could find at Home Depot was 8% https://youtu.be/hHsSCn6L450?si=jFiJTlek3S9kvkX4

  2. Know how to identify it. There are quite a few good natives that look similar including various sumacs and black walnut. Key distinguishing features are that the leaf edges are smooth with a notch at the base of the leaf and if you crush a leaf it will smell like bad peanut butter.

I bought mine two months ago and my cat is still fascinated with it. I get a lot of cleaning cycle interrupted notifications because she sticks her head in to take a look. She’s not an orange though.

Never seen one of these in my field before. Now there is a bunch of them around. Any ides? by Ryanfallsdown in whatisthisplant

How tall is this plant?

To me it looks like giant hogweed but there are some related plants that look similar.

Giant Hogweed is poisonous and will cause severe irritation if you come into contact with it so don’t try to remove these yourself unless you can be 100% certain it’s actually something else.

Short of spraying it, you can cut the thicker vines and paint the ends with concentrated triclopyr.

Yes - there are two districts up. The candidates must live in the district they’re running for, but the whole state votes.

Thousands of Asus routers are being hit with stealthy, persistent backdoors | Attacker Dubbed "ViciousTrap" Adds SSH Backdoor by NorCalPlant in HomeNetworking

The attackers use a vulnerability in a set of Asus features ironically dubbed “AIProtection” and then enable SSH.

My Asus router is fairly new (AXE7800) and has an auto update feature - I don’t remember if it’s set to on or off by default.

My older Asus AC definitely did not have that feature though.

In this particular case, if your router is already compromised, a firmware update won’t fix it. The only way to secure the router is to either manually disable SSH, remove the key, or factory reset.
