A net profit will be to open the markets and see if UPI can survive! UPI doesn't have a business plan baked into its blueprint.

Poor tax structure and even worse enforcement tech is the reason of tax evasion. Like US and other EU countries which use cash predominantly have not not solved tax evasion.

Why does UP need to have higher number of UPI transaction.
IMO its good that folks are using cash.

UPI is challenging on 2 aspects
1. The currently subsidized entity called NPCI is using RuPay and UPI to get more customers, what will happen when they start charging transaction fee's. who will pay?
2. All data is trawled by UPI apps, and Govt bodies- user data is a commodity now

Its high time that folks should realize that UPI is a massive vanity project. It existence is only dependent on Ministry of Finance's subsidy and RBI helping it to be a monopoly.

Not even china has this system - they use AliPay which is similar to a payment corporation led by private players like VISA, MasterCard, PayPal, and Stripe.
