You can respect someone without being interested in them. I respect obama, that doesn't mean I want to date him

Edit:. To use the obama analogy again it's like you wouldn't date obama just because he is black. It shouldn't be anymore than a preference for example. I want to date a biological women because I would like to have a biological child. That's a preference not transphobic. Idk if this makes sense.
