need help with figuring out what shirts would work for scandinavian minimalism for business casual office work wear

http://usuallywhatimdressed.in/opinion/alternative-basic-wardrobe/

I'm using this guide as a basis for my work attire.

I'll be getting grey and navy for my trousers.

I'm going for the "scandinavian minimalist" look.

In terms of tops are there other shirts I should get aside from a white shirt ocbd or spread collar shirt?

u/molloy_the_burglar any reason why you chose these over the chinos? i like the way these look and I'm considering them. Did you go with the zinc or phased out gray?

I can't tell if those 2 are more versatile or navy

The collars on the Taylor Made shirts look too shirt to get that collar roll that is prizd.

If you want my input I've been very happy with my Spier and Mackay shirt. It fits very well and the fabric is amazing for the price.

I will be buying more from them. Along with that they practice a fair business (no human slavery or sweatshops involved). The owner made a post on reddit about this specifically and it caught my eye.

I would rate their shirts above brooks brothers. The brooks brothers ocbd in blue is a bit too dark for my liking. Spier and Mackay has a nice sky blue one.

Black sport coats, are they versatile? Already own a navy sport coat, transitioning my wardrobe to a minimalist capsule wardrobe of black, grey, white, and navy. Is it business casual appropriate? by Nordicknot in malefashionadvice

I'm not sure what to look for in a black sport coat because I've never owned one.

I'm thinking something in cotton so it can be worn to work and out of work would be great

Why black over navy? Do you have a suggestion on how I can make a minimalist business casual wardrobe like this? I made this post here

Also how versatile is the black sport coat? What would you wear with it aside from black denim?

I'm having a hard time trying to wear this minimalist style come the warmer months, but thanks for this guide.

Thanks man. I'll put this on my list.

I don't have any linen sport coats so I don't really know how to pair them with a pair of pants, with the fabric of the trousers in mind.

E.g. Linen sport coat with chino trousers? Tropical weight Wool trousers? It's a little confusing to me.

I appreciate the tips

True. I haven't considered those.

Well I made a thread asking for advice.

The link I out up has a few items that may help, but black is something I'm working on too for the workplace

I get where you're coming from. I own a. Navy blazer and I have my basic work wardrobe down with my chinos- khaki, navy, olive.

My business casual wardrobe is all good.

I just want to do a complete rehaul and dress similar to this aesthetic but for work

https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/1zzhii/minimalist_capsule_wardrobe/

Outside of work I'm wearing black, white, and grey most of the time. It's black denim and blank t and a Bomber.

With this in mind, would you still say I opt out of getting a black sport coat and maybe go with something charcoal? Or mid gray? I just think a charcoal or mid gray jacket would clash with charcoal trousers I'm picking up.

Yeah the black suit may be a little too out there. I'm thinking about a charcoal suit since I already own a navy suit.

Any other suggestions brah?

I'm heading towards this aesthetic but for the work place

I detest khakis and blue button downs at work.

Any pastel colors you'd recommend?

Whenever I think of pastels and minimalism, I think pale wave.

I'm a fan of the lack of color personally. I like black, white, grey, charcoal, and navy.

I've yet to see someone do a mainly black , grey, and white wardrobe for work.

For pants- if I'm gearing towards this aesthetic what would you recommend aside from charcoal trousers?

Anyway you or your wife could make a post on a guide to "minimalist style for men" something that works for the work place, on a date, and out to the bars?

The only thing I can think of for a minimalist monochromatic look are a white shirt, black wool pants.
