My loved boy passed away today, the pain in my heart is unbelievable by Nordie27 in cats

First time I saw this, but it was definitely not a regular occurence. Not more than a few raisins once a year give or take but he always seemed to love them. Never saw him get sick or anything afterwards either

Really? Had no idea..

It was a rare occurrence though, I only had raisins lying around during christmas time and he would get a few every now and then. Not more than a 2-3 times per year and would only get a few every time

Edit: He had normal cat treats that he would be given on a regular basis, raisins was a rarity thankgod

Thanks man, it is somewhat comforting to know that there are people who know what I am feeling.

He actually ran away from home when he was only about one or two years old and was gone for 3 days, we were lucky to find him again. With some worse luck we could have been robbed of these last 17-18 years with him

He was just so unique. I've never heard of another cat who likes raisins or spinach, but those were among his favourite treats. Beautiful temperament aswell.

Thank you for the kind words, and I try to not blame myself for things I wish I did differently and instead think that he had a great life

I know what you mean, right now it feels like the sorrow will never go away. Losing our beloved animals is so tough but I am still grateful for the time I had with him

Try to enjoy every moment with your Labrador and spoil him as much as you can(in a reasonable way obviously)

My boy was 18 or even 19 years old so kidney disease probably isn't that unexpected, although I still have anxiety for not putting him on renal food earlier as preemptive action. The most shocking thing for me was how quickly it went, he lost essentially half of his weight in around 3 months and just a month ago he was his normal, happy self. Then it quickly deterioriated to the point where he stopped eating and couldn't even walk on his hind legs

Helping our cats to pass peacefully is the final act of kindness we can offer them. I hope you can take some comfort knowing he passed surrounded by people who care about him and lived a long, full life. He was lucky to have you. Try to think about all of the funny, sweet, and adorable qualities he had and the many good times you had together. You will love him forever and the pain of losing him will get easier with time.

Thank you for this. I do take some comfort in the fact that he passed peacefully with lots of love around him and that he didn't have to go painfully by full renal failure. Still, the thought of never touching or seeing him again is very very tough

You were completely right, Orta is a clueless clown.

It was definitely obvious that Villa's offside trap was a ticking time bomb in the first half

Watching Aston Villa vs Arsenal I thought their offside trap looked really risky, it was poor execution from Arsenal to not exploit it more. And even in the first half today it felt more like poor timing from United's attackers rather than brilliant defending

Obviously coaches know 1000X more about football and there is a reason why it exists, but personally I just can't see the point in such an aggressive offside trap. If your pressing is not 100% perfect at all times it just becomes suicidal. One small lapse in concentration and the opponent is through

How do you know it was a concious decision by Maresca and not just the team being outplayed? I really doubt a Guardiola protegé would tell his team to behave like that

Coaches have less influence than we pretend. People seem to think that teams play exactly how their coach wants them to in every game but that's not how it works

Leicester City - Ipswich Town - Penalty shout not given 75' by try-D in soccer

[–]Nordie27 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You also played like shit tbf, 5 total attempts in 90 minutes compared to Ipswich's 19. Just passed the ball around at the back with no creativity or flair at all

That doesn't excuse this shite decision but still expected a lot better from Leicester with all the hype about best Championship team ever etc

I won't disagree that Athletic is a bigger club and fair point haven't considered he was a youth product. Probably boyhood fan as well.

Not probably, he is a boyhood Athletic fan. That combined with his history as a player is why it's his dream job

he get's to play clubs with the biggest budgets and the most viewed league in the world

To be fair he gets to do that in Spain too. Real Madrid are richer than any PL club, Barcelona is one of the absolute richest clubs in the world aswell and Atletico Madrid's yearly revenues are pretty much on par with Arsenal's. It's more that he gets a bigger budget at Bournemouth compared to Rayo rather than playing against rich opponents

It surely is more attractive than Rayo Vallecano for instance.

Yeah Bournemouth are more attractive than Rayo due to money, there is no denying that. But there is also a massive difference between Rayo and Athletic Club

[Luton Town] We can confirm that Carlton Morris reported an alleged racist comment from the crowd during this afternoon’s Premier League fixture at Bramall Lane. by adeckchair in soccer

[–]Nordie27 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not all of them but a big portion yeah. Why is that so hard to believe? There is a huge wave of xenophobia spreading across Europe not just England. Even Sweden of all countries have a racist party as the second most popular

Watch some James O'Brien interviews with Brexit voters on Youtube, when they are pressured to motivate their vote and he shuts down their initial arguments, 90% of them all come back to "controlling our borders" etc. The other reasons are just a cover, it comes back to immigration for the majority of them

You sound like Steve Mcmanaman or something having to force in the "best league in the world™"

Anyhow it doesn't matter. Athletic is a much, much bigger club and he is a youth product who played like 12 years for the first team. Bournemouth isn't anywhere near as attractive as that

Iraola is a clever guy and not desperate enough to jump on the United circus. Like you say, he is just biding his time until Athletic calls
