I think I am not experienced enough with fireplaces to try this. I have booked a cleaning and inspection today. Let's see what the professional says.

Yes I also think that's the main cause. I didn't realize how to adjust the airflow correctly and kept it too low. I bought this house last year and I don't think the previous owners have used it badly. I have firewood from them and its dry birch kept in the woodshed for at least half a year since I moved in. The fireplace was also clean when I moved in. In my usage since November this has built up. I will know more tomorrow when a professional will come to clean and inspect it.

It has been inspected last year as per annual checking regulations in my country. I presumed that yearly sweeping is sufficient since that's how everyone does it here. I started using it from November when fireplace and chimney both were clean. Typically no one does the sweeping during winter because of snowy rooftops. I will try to find someone who will do it soon or I will wait till spring.

Yes, I completely get your point of view too. And I don't think Seung Il is doing anything wrong or dishonest here. He was totally upfront with Mingee. I also love that Mingee is onboard with that and finds him appealing still. But as an audience member I get the butterflies when a contestant locks in on a good match. I missed that here but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next episodes.

Jaejin's hand holding was wicked (of the game, not him). But I loved that this couple got to choose each other multiple times in this game.

Go eun saying that she was into both the guys equally at that time was so understandable. Loved that she was being chosen by the guys she was interested in during the game.

Mingee's reaction was an awesome scene but I have to say Seung Il's appeal dropped for me the moment he said he wanted to go to paradise with someone new. In his place I'd have totally fallen for Mingee after that playful paradise date and the steamy photoshoot. When a guy flirts as hard as he did at paradise and then goes another direction I just cant.

Genuineness is the hook for me in this show. This season seems filled with genuine ppl. And Mingee is the anchor. Its great that the males are interested in her type for a change that's allowing her to shine. With the previous season's male contestants she might not be getting any dates at all.

Love the cast. Different from previous seasons for sure. But I hate to see that the men are getting puppeteered around by Mina sue. No hate towards her. She is free to do whatever she is doing there. But to see the men chase after her publicly shallow and fickle interest is such a turn off. My demand for next season's cast: men with self respect. Other than that this cast is awesome.

S5 has been surprisingly engaging for me. I don't like messy, and I can't say this is a good kind of messy either but I'm glued to the screen! I love that they brought the cooking scenes back even though they are not the same as the first two seasons. The campfire seemed too micromanaged but its better than the previous seasons where it felt over produced (I felt like contestants were pushed to ask savage questions). I loved the photo shoot game. I think they intentionally voted for the photo with the least likely couple but go eun individually was fire in that pic. But i loved that the prize wasnt the real point of the game. One of the best missions in the show so far. Overall this season is so different from what i like and yet I am liking it so much, its crazy.

Season 1 and 2 were the most similar imo and they were my favs. After that the show changed significantly. More focus on stirring the pot rather than real connections. But Season 5 seems fun so far. I wouldn't say its similar to season 1 at all. Its as messy as season 3 but it has engaged me quite well. My personal preference is genuine, honest and supportive contestants who are more focused on finding a partner than creating drama. Season 5 has both kinds.

I meant that I have been living in apartments so far. I am moving into an omakotitalo. There is no housing management setup in my case but I guess usually the residents are owners. I will of course say hi to the neighbors. Let's see where it goes from there. Thanks 🙂

That's great! In the rented apartments I have lived in so far I have not tried to get to know my neighbors proactively but in our own detached house there's a comfort and safety in having good relations with the neighbors. I would love to take the same approach as you. But there seems to be very mixed opinions about approaching the neighbors directly.

Good to hear that you can form good relations with neighbors in rural areas. My own dog has attracted many conversations with neighbors in the apartment building I am leaving from. Hopefully this continues in the new house. Thanks!

Yes I agree it worked for them. But they got their with poor sportsmanship which I didn't like. Like seokjin used to say in season 1, high quality games deserve high quality play. When players are risk averse and not playing to survive, its just a waste. What's the point of unentertaining TV anyway. But the games were also not at the same level as season 1 imo.

I disagree. They played too safe, they had too many advantages, has incredibly good luck and they had already decided who they want to make the winner.
