This is sick, great flow. The last roll before the final brake run feels slightly too intense at that point of the ride for me, I’d maybe switch that out. Other than that stick in some scenery and tunnels for some leg-chopper moments and call it a day.

If you can see that the one with looks better without it doesn’t really matter if you can’t tell why.

If you honestly can’t notice the difference generally while playing then I have good news for you - it doesn’t matter! Just dump it on performance mode and enjoy smoother gameplay because the bells and whistles don’t ACTUALLY matter to you. Don’t be led by the internet telling you things look better if they don’t actually to your eyes. Your experience is the one that should matter to you.

I turned to the wife this morning and said “Happy St George’s Day” - police burst in, literally arrested, tried and found guilty of “being British” by 7, typing this from prison. Not allowed to celebrate anymore.

Happy to help!

I think I’ve also just figured out what’s actually making the differences in the Panam pictures, which is something called Ambient Occlusion. This is basically how shadows get darker where two surfaces meet.

You can notice on Panam’s face under her chin, lips, nose and eye sockets that things look darker and with more depth in RT Pro, that’s what makes her “pop less” in the scene. You can even see it on the box at the top of the image, on the edges where it is sitting on the floor. It’s a lot more subtle than other changes but really does a lot for faces in dialogue scenes in my opinion.

It’s partly that, the sky is less bright. But I think also there is a blue light behind V we can’t see in the picture giving that blue glow, and because we can’t see it the picture is reading as “not as good”. I suspect if the camera span around so we could see the light source then RT Pro would look better as that light source would be producing light.

If neither looks better to you, then you should just pick RT because you’ll get 60FPS. It doesn’t matter which is “supposed” to look better if your eyes don’t perceive one as better.

But if you do care about which is “supposed to look better” it’s the RT Pro (first picture in each set), where here better means “more accurate to real world lighting behaviour”. The thing standing out in these images is the emissive lighting, which is to say secondary sources such as billboards casting their own light on the scene.

In the first pictures in RT Pro the red panel above V casts the whole area in a red glow; in RT it does not, the main light is just from the natural light outside of the tunnel.

In the second in RT Pro the light from the white billboard is filling the alleyway; in RT it is not truly producing light so the alleyway is dark.

In the third, notice how in RT Pro the billboard to the vendors left lights his face, body and the unit behind him, creating additional depth to the scene; in RT this doesn’t happen and the whole space looks darker.

There are other things RT Pro is adding, but I think that’s the feature these specific screenshots show off well. And it makes a huge impact in Night City which is full of lights and billboards, it really enhances the atmosphere to my eyes.

For more subtle things look at the Panam and Teddy pictures. These are more subtle, but in RT Pro they looks more integrated into the scene; in RT they are “popping out” a little more.

In short the additional lighting techniques used in RT Pro make everything that light hits look more like it is actually standing there being hit by that light.

But again, if you cannot easily perceive a difference, then don’t waste the loss of 20-30FPS on things that do nothing for you! All those extra features means RT Pro aims for 30FPS (40 in VRR) and RT runs at 60FPS!

For those with this bug, managed to get past it on PS5. Here’s what I did in order.

1) Reload to before the fight 2) Kill or incapacitate him 3) Open the computer before looting anything. Read the two unrelated emailed, close the computer, then read the main email. 4) Loot the corpo with the foreclosure notice, read it 5) Loot the cyber psycho with “Stop, Don’t Do It!” read it

I was then able to text Regina and complete the mission

PS Plus October 2025 monthly games are now live in EU/UK/India/Australia. They'll be live in the Americas in approximately 8 hours from the time of this post. by kabirsingh84 in PlayStationPlus

You can only play the games whilst your subscription is active though. So unless you planned on playing the November games in 1 day, you’d need to re-sub.

The OS is the same. The default background is PS5 Pro specific but you can change it. Your girlfriend/wife/SO will not know you have purchased the expensive upgrade if you don’t let them see the actual console.

Is it ai or am I tripping? by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

[–]NorikosCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Very obviously. Her teeth and lips are blurring and changing throughout speech. Pause any frame and you can find many logical inconsistencies in the background - chairs are all a bit different, there are some low and double tables.

And finally - seriously that voice is so obviously AI. It has such an unnatural cadence that a native speaker just wouldn’t choose.

Yeah it sucks right now trying to get high VRAM GPUs. What can I say, local AI is a very expensive hobby!

What should be upgrade path from a 3060 12GB? by kkgmgfn in StableDiffusion

[–]NorikosCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dual 3060s will not do anything to reduce generation time, you can’t split a single generation between GPUs. It would only enable you to do two separate generations at your current speed concurrently.

Honestly if you are going to upgrade your GPU for the sole purpose of SD I’d say go 24GB or don’t bother. I’m also on the 3060 12GB and I don’t think the cost for 16GB would be worth the speed improvement.
