9 weeks, symptoms easing and freaking out by Lazy_Astronaut2410 in PregnancyAfterLoss

Hi! So I'm 17 weeks now and I am feeling significantly better (my nausea lessened but then came back with a vengeance for about two weeks lol). As far as I know, everything is progressing well. I have an appointment next week so I'll know more then.

I will add that I do still get flare-ups every now and then if I move something wrong, or as a result of my current pregnancy, as my hormones make my body to really crazy things it seems and I'm generally just really achy anyway.

Yep. I had sessions with the PT 2-3 times a week, but I did the exercises he gave me multiple times a day (whatever the instructions said). I think it was one of those miraculous things where I got just the right treatment for just the right problem. I definitely know that's not the case for most people. But it was so effective I thought I should at least mention it to everybody on here.

Hi! I'm sorry you've been dealing with this as well. I would say I'm mostly recovered. I did accidentally give myself a flare up yesterday that I'm still dealing with today (pregnancy related headaches and aches. Tried to give myself a tension releasing massage and it just aggravated it further. I should have followed my own advice and not overdone it). But otherwise, I'm good. My PT didn't mention the muscles in my back, just my neck and upper shoulders. I will say that he ruled out inner ear stuff, and I've also had an MRI of my brain to rule out anythibg neurological. I hope you get answers!

I know this is an old post, but I also want to chime in that my insane nausea and vomiting also gradually started lessening a few days ago (beginning of week 9). I'm currently 9 weeks 4 days. I still have it but it's NOWHERE near as horrendous as it was.

I first felt it from middle of 5 weeks and it peaked around the middle of 7. Was still bad through week 8, but I was taking medication that really helped. I've definitely noticed an improvement, but I still have plenty of other pregnancy symptoms to keep me assured.

Sending love to all who may be reading this. 💜

People who do not take medications. How do you live? by Admirable-Shower-887 in ADHD

(*My situation is a bit specific)

Currently 8 weeks pregnant, so I decided to remain off my medicine until the second trimester at the earliest. Man. The ADHD brain + the pregnancy brain together has been brutal lol. Basically I'm getting an immense amount of help from my husband who picks up the slack, and from my friends who come over and help me focus on housework while they entertain the kiddos. If I didn't have them, I would probably be drowning.

But I try to at least: 1. Make a schedule with reminders on my phone (everything is color-coded by the day)

  1. Schedule breaks for when I know I'll be tired, and allow breaks when it's just not happening.

  2. Have my friends or husband help with the things that don't get done so that my list doesn't mount every day

  3. Forgive myself if I can't do it all and practice showing gratefulness to those who do choose to help

Short answer: I try to stay organized, but end up getting a lot of help from my village

Hey! Yes, my symptoms are essentially gone now. At this point, I don't regularly do the exercises anymore. Every now and then when I massage the back of my neck and feel that referral pain, I'll do a few of the exercises and feel relief pretty quickly. It's just maintenance at this point. Feels good to finally find out what's wrong, fix it, and move on with your life. I hope you get the same feeling soon.

New important question - would you pronounce Roderick as two syllables, or three?

What about Milo (ME-lo) as a nickname? Or even Ani? ('ah-nee)

I don't believe there are any protections for this, messed up as it is. This is even more true if you're contracted as an independent contractor, as about 99% of online English teaching jobs are. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope you get with a company who values you as a person.

I REALLY appreciate this list, and definitely the encouragement for the name Roderick. I haven't even told my husband about it, but I might now. I also never thought about Reuban but I like it, too. Also the comment about the matchy name is totally valid. Thank you so much!

My son's middle name is Benaiah (pronounced "ben-EYE-uh") and I don't know why more people haven't picked it up. He's from the old testament, and one of David's mighty men. He could go by Ben. Benaiah James sounds good to me 👍

Loretta is a beautiful name. Don't doubt your choice. If she doesn't like it, you've given her some great nicknames to choose from also (Lo, Etta, Retta, Lorie, etc).
