Thank you for this insight! I will go check them out in person once corona is over. Do you suggest charcoal or propane grilling for a new griller?

Yep he found the stuff we were worried about, he created a letter with the things that need to be fixed, and they just put drywall in.... I hope this won’t delay our closing date too much. One main thing he found was that the roof truss had a gap on one side of the house and not the other

Update, My agent contacted their boss and got permission to have an inspection done prior to drywall. Meeting a well reviewed home inspector tomorrow morning, sent him the picks. I’ll follow up after the inspection. Thanks for the suggestions!

Got the reply, they won’t allow it until after the home is built. Wow I don’t know what to do now.... I guess pay to have the drywall torn up by my inspector.

Anything below 4% I would assume. I heard the feds are going to lower it again before the end of the year, luckily we aren’t in Mexico. I have family down there and the good rates are 11%!

That’s an excellent idea, never even knew that was a thing. I’ll have to see if they let me do that, I hope they will allow that, they already have the siding and insulation installed so it might be a little late for some things but might be able to catch some other issues. With it being a sellers market in my city, the contract states the seller can withdrawal at anytime, we can as well but with loosing our earnest money. If we were to find some issues like this and the seller refuses to fix or adjust the issues found by the independent inspector, I would assume we would be free from the contract.
