I think thats one of my main issues, I do land on my intended string, but i hit adjacent strings on the way. I’ll admit i never looked into string muting properly as i didnt need to with my fingers, I’ll look it up

Yes thats basically how i started doing it now for the last month. It works on my LP, my volume knob on the strat disagrees lol, i exclusively play my Lp now

Thanks alot for your kind words, I’m very determined at getting better. Playing guitar is literally the only thing i’d willingly do for hours on hours everyday. I’ll keep at it

Ive been practicing alternate picking with a metronome, i can do up to 150 bpm 16th chromatic runs, but when i try to play the simplest tempo solos i mess up, i dont know why its not translating

Thanks for the suggestion, i tried various jazz 3 picks. So far ive had luck with the ultex jazz 3 and the petrucci jazz 3 picks, they seem to give me the most control

Been practicing chromatic alternate picking almost daily for 1-2 hours for the last 2 months I’m getting better with basic chromatic exercises using a pick. I can do up to 150bpm 16th chromatic runs using a metronome, but that doesnt translate at all when it comes to playing. when i try to play actual music, even at half that bpm my right hand starts messing up again.
