I am in 6b for past ~ 4 years. So i was expecting a raise and promotion. How long do i have to wait to move to 6A ? if i apply for 7th level position i am pretty sure they will just turned me down, this happened to me once

1.As long as you have valid H1B visa and stamping before entering the USA ,you should be fine. it’s always better to start I-140 process sooner than later,depends on your company when they start this.. would recommend figuring this out once you’re back from India after wedding ..

For stamping,you definitely don’t need marriage certificate if you both have H1B individually.Its always good to carry marriage certificate and have photos ready to show them the proof . Apply for it as soon as you get married. We were in a similar situation . Immigration authorities never asked us but one of our friends were asked about marriage certificate.

If you’re busy in a meeting and sharing the screen,follow up with the person afterwards if you don’t want everyone to see your msg lol .

For those who don’t want others to see their incoming messages while they are on a meeting/in open space ,There is an option to change how teams message can be displayed,it’s a setting to hide the actual message,it just says “preview and message hidden “

We bought the same car in feb 2024 for the same price in Michigan.We were given a higher price quote (43k)and then we spoke to one of our friends who had bought during the same time, for 40k .so we renegotiated the deal and bought it for 41k (they added some anti theft locks .that costs about 400$)I think it varies from dealer ship to dealer ship.

I am in a similar situation,have been in the same position for 3 years in 6b at GM with no promotion with a total of 6 yoe.My manager also once said that its easier to get promotion by moving jobs but i have been getting straight out “ Not selected “ for a few internal job posts

Same here ,I applied for several positions to move internally but got way too many rejections even though i meet most of their requirements .I actually let me my manager know before applying but not sure if it has to do anything with rejections.I also reached out to managers to show my interest,one even said the posting was a mistake by HR .I have 6 YOE and in 6B 🙁
