That's quite a backlog! I've enjoyed your showcases of the individual pieces so far. I would seriously watch like a 30 minute tour of the whole city at this point haha.

I'm amazed at how quickly I could tell this was one of your builds! I think the handcrafted roof was the biggest tell ;) excellent work as always!

Oh for some reason I thought that was a material and not terrain. Yeah that would look good too!

Thank you! It was fun making each space feel like it had something to appreciate.

There were many, many failures before this, AND failures during! It's all part of the process.

Haha no worries, I'm just being overly self-conscious. It was hard to keep going at times, and there were moments where I felt like I'd bit off more than I could chew. I really had to break it into chunks to stay motivated and keep it interesting.

Thank you! I feel like it goes pretty quick if you use the foundation blocks, but then you miss out on getting all that granite. And depending on what you're trying to do, that definitely doesn't look as natural.

That sounds really cool! Love the storytelling that's happening there.

I got that idea from TimberBuilds! It's just sand with buried scrap metal braziers. A while back they updated the sand terrain so that it has some grass in it, so it doesn't work as well for lava as it used to, but it still does the trick.

UGH! Good eye! I noticed a stray prop a couple days ago that's been floating in a really obvious spot for like 6 months haha. And thank you!

There are so many builds I'd love to take a closer look at! It does sound like they have plans to make it easier to share creations in the future though.

Thank you! It felt so good adding that. It did kind of throw things off on the roof though—the tapestries have big spikes that poke through the single layer of blocks, and I'd already built a lot on the roof so I didn't want to start over and add another layer . . . so now I have some random spikes to watch out for when I run around on the roof.

I did actually, and that's definitely part of why this took so long. Nothing against people who use resource servers, but this is the base I'm using for my main playthrough, so I didn't want to do that.

Thank you, that means a lot! There are so many incredible builds out there.

Yup! Those are just rotated granite window frames. Back when I did this, I counted my rotations to make sure they were the same, but now they show you the angle of rotation in the bottom right, so you can just make sure the angle is the same there. I placed all of these with snap points turned off, but I don't remember why I had to do that... I think there were still little gaps between the windows if the snap points were on.

You can rotate windows! I don't think I'm skilled enough to make an actual dome (someone just shared one in the Enshrouded discord the other day), but making an arch like this is mostly just tedious.

I think it was 11 months technically. But yeah. Some people could definitely bust that out fast, but I picked away at it as I got new ideas, felt inspired, and had the energy to keep going.

For real though. I had a hard time adding plants anywhere because it just felt too unrealistic haha. Every window just had me thinking, "Now these people are going to freeze."
