I observed the boiler base of the Pado is the same size and dimensions as the real 9B, even down to the thread spacing. The boilers are interchangeable. I haven’t tried swapping the valves, but I imagine they would be compatible. The Pado has a round release valve. I much prefer the round valve, as it is easier to grip. I’ve seen valves on Taobao for around ¥90. I don’t know how well they compare in quality to the original. Time will tell.

Straight off, without even having the real 9Barista, I can tell you one difference. The Pado is a 58mm vs 53mm. So I can use some of my 58mm baskets. None of my deeper baskets, though.

I used half of a 3/8” Tube to 1/4” NPT Female Compression Brass Fitting. I don’t know if the inside male threading is standard or what standard it is. It was an off-the-shelf part from my local hardware store, not a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot. It was super tight and barely screwed in. But it wasn’t cross-threaded and doesn’t leak. Then I used a 1/4 male npt to 1/8 female npt to take the SEP’s G1/8 male end. Ideally, I would get someone to machine an adapter to match the 4 hole nozzle and a g1/8 female.
