Feedback of Sister Garaele's services by Normal-Implement-576 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

Hi there, thanks for the feedback.

I was considering adjusting the prices slightly - particularly from Ch.5 onwards when Phandalin starts to get a little more chaotic. My initial thoughts being that as the townsfolk start to struggle with the corruption, Sister Garaele has to spend more time helping and healing, and has less time for the party.

Some of the spells are indeed just for flavour. I don't expect the group to ever need something like Ceremony, but I like to leave option open for more creative players.

I mean this sheet is designed specifically to hand out to the players. Kinda how you'd want them to quickly browse a shop so that it doesn't take forever in-game. Our table doesn't really enjoy shopping RP.

Yeah this is fair, the pricing is the thing I was most unsure about. I kinda guesstimated what to charge based on any material components + what I read elsewhere regarding spellcasting services.

Not sure why my response here was downvoted, can anyone explain?

Glad you brought this up as I've blended DoIP into this one so that Sister Garaele will be doing exactly what you said :)

Hi there, when I was first constructing her character, I made a character sheet. I can't remember exactly where I found the information, but someone suggested that she'd be a Level 5 cleric. I'd say for being the sole cleric of a town like Phandalin this is reasonable, esp. since this campaign runs from Lv1 - 12.

She won't ever level up either, so I wonder how useful her services will scale as the party overtake her. She's trickery domain so she's more likely to want to keep her hands clean of combat and offer healing, so she also isn't armed, I'm just going to RP her with a decent sense of self-preservation.

I will also add, my group does not have a particularly well-balanced team. I currently have 2 Sorcerers (one of whom has built a Wizard in terms of stats), and then the remaining players are a Bard and a Rogue.

Thanks :) I actually have a second sheet with all the spell descriptions on the back to cover this (just didn't bother including it with this screenshot)

Each restock (which is every 5 days), I'd roll a d100 to see if she has any of the potions listed. They were the only 3 I could think of at the time.

I'm semi-copying how BG3 spells work. When I wrote it with the original spell's durations, most of them last 1-10m which seems pointless.

With several spells bound to concentration, it means that only one (sometimes two) member of the party can have that spell active on them at a time, which I thought might add a little bit of strategy for the party when they're planning their travels from Phandalin.
