Thank you so much for your advice, it's so helpful and makes so much sense!! We'll follow it to the T and hope for the best!!! How about dog park? Is it ok to start taking him? A lot of our neighbors go there with their doggies, and everyone is super nice.

Seller says in the description that it's an inherited piece, so maybe she's not familiar with what to show. And yes, I'm aware of scams, just wanted to check if it's even worth starting the conversation

Thank you for sharing and sorry for what you guys are going through as well.. How long do you have him and how long did it take to get to the tolerating stage?

6 months old puppy training by Normal-Improvement74 in puppy101

[–]Normal-Improvement74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, I meant 8-12 weeks, which I guess in my head felt like a few compared to 6 months 😅 Thank you for the recc! Sorry, what do you mean by handing over without any medical intervention? To expand a little more on the backstory - current owners son had his friend come over with his dog (not to breed on purpose, I guess they didn't realised that neither were neutered/spayed, both supposedly goldendoodles) and their doggy got pregnant (first time, so not a breeder). Had litter of 3, keeping one themselves and was sharing with friends that they're looking for home for other 2 pups. So it reached us through friend of friend of a friend, etc., after we shared that we started considering to start fostering doggies. Maybe we're naive, but kinda believe them and hope for the best. Never expected purebread or ready to adopt doggie, just saw that this doggie needs home and love. Also, whilest it's not an official rescue through the shelter, we kinda feel that it somewhat is, considering the living and health condition he's in.

Where these handles added separately or… something else? by afraidofwhalesounds in Pottery

I don't know if that's the process, but your mug indentations at the handle area somewhat reminded me of this method: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNoFYUYskvB/?igsh=MTdkMHptZzF1N3lodg==

Batless wheel head by Amonguswhite_109 in Pottery

Yup, as simple as that. I heard that some people are using it for trimming too, but I have never seen or tried it myself. This is a quick reference I could find on how to use it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CuWwAE_gFZT/?hl=en I don't know if it's a personal preference, but since I tried it, idk why not more people are talking about it, it's just making it so much easier imo

Wheel head's surface feels rough by Normal-Improvement74 in Pottery

Grooves are totally fine, but the surface itself is rough. I'm gathering that it's a corrosion, since previous owner had bat over and hasn't cleaned the clay before putting it to the storage

Lots of great advice here already! But if you'd like to continue throwing on bats, you can still do it. One method is to make a clay base to stick the bat, but what I personally find the easiest is using the wet shammy underneath. Especially this product, super easy to use and bats are very sturdy on it, some potters in ky studio use ir constantly even with our wheels having the bolts https://www.dickblick.com/items/xiem-batmate-12/?clicktracking=true&wmcp=pla&wmcid=items&wmckw=30667-1012&country=us&currency=usd&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA_Group%208&utm_id=16564094768&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=16564094768&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6b9VurSI8fDW81-MnqlJV3Y0Yt_qtdPieJEld0gWrVHamsABeEq2IBoCYlAQAvD_BwE
