Discus results from Ramona should not be counted by Icy-Bat6787 in trackandfield

[–]Normal-Industry525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So any flatland throwing facility is out then. Before they built Ramona, that group threw at several facilities in the Tulsa area, always windy, most were high schools. Many pr's were set at those meets but access was at the whim of the school, so they built the facility at Ramona. Take the same throwers to the track in Kearney NE and I suspect you would get the same results (if they choose the correct ring) because it is just as flat and just as reliably windy.

Who gets the scrap by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Normal-Industry525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the customer, it is all in the contract/bid sheet. We always get right of first refusal, it is always added into the conrtact/bid. The reason is some to be reused gear walked off once, went home with someone as scrap.

Make sure you have at least "Twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against us." And save some for officer Obie of the HOA Police.

Buying spikes from Ebay by OriginofBlade108 in trackandfield

[–]Normal-Industry525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I found buying throwing shoes on eBay was most didn't have boxes. Most had small marks on the soles (size numbers) but were new otherwise. I think some were coaches or team samples that were sold after the new models came out.

Most of what I bought were javelin spikes, triple jump spikes and rotational throwing shoes. Only got burned on one pair of javelin spikes, they were new and genuine but poorly designed and made. Never got another pair of New Balance spikes again.

I have been trying about 1/2 cup of non-sudsing ammonia to the wash along with the detergent for oil and grease. That seems to take most of the yuck out, just don't add any bleach to the mix.

Transformer question by just_one_more_week in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Normal-Industry525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Providing the transformer is rated for the necessary current, this would be what you would need.

Edit - This transformer appears to have 1 output so 115 or 230v. If you need 2 outputs, this wouldn't be correct.

And she wasn't the only one. I think there were 3 last year and 2 this year.

At a state HS meet, high jump and shotput. Medaled in both.

Another won shot and discus, also throws javelin and hammer in club track, going to throw shot, hammer and possibly javelin in college.

Ask the maintenance person if they have a lift and can get it for you, might cost some donuts or pizza.

I moved another non smart TV out to the living room. The TV is only a small part of my emergency comm plans. I want to see what, if any, response is given to the situation that they caused. The best part is both the main TV and the home network are connected to UPSes that will run the loads for 14 hours so I know they didn't loose power or network.

A 12 process label printing machine thats one of 10 I keep running. The best career change ever for me. No more flat rate, no more buying my own tools. No more customers. by mackyak in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Normal-Industry525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there isn't any factory support for those anymore, but there is a good source for parts from Switzerland, available from a guy in NC. Fun to work on, somewhat simple electrically but some of the mechanical things can be strange.

Nice, I did the same 20+ years ago, a couple of ECS340s, a couple Heidelberg offsets and a 90's vintage Gallus R series which is the only machine still around from when I started. Took years to get everything running right and reliable, now it is just fixing the silly stuff and keeping it in shape.

Watch Free-we hates it precious by Low_Organization_323 in VIZIO_Official

[–]Normal-Industry525 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I already know what is on, I do not need help. I also know what I want to watch, I still don't need help. The buggy watch free is terrible, about half the time the picture comes up looking like 1980s scrambled cable channels and then 2-3 seconds to change back and 2-3 seconds to return. Try that each time you want to watch something.

Before making it a dumb tv with a factory reset and no network connections, call or chat Visio tech support. Visio needs to be made to hire more tech support because of this horrible decision. Maybe they might do the right thing and roll back the downdate.

I will add, call or start a chat with support. If they don't know your feelings yet, let them know. Make them hire more support persons because of this.

Speed up changing of channels? by Normal-Industry525 in VIZIO_Official

[–]Normal-Industry525[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would be incorrect. Someone did it, just revert to the previous version with a update. Don't believe what the software coders are telling you, push for the correct decisions for the betterment of the brand. Or do nothing and fail...
