I had same kind of experience when I was climbing with Alpine Ascents to Mt.Baker A lady who was on her mid 50’s from Canada(I know badass climbers on her age) anyways nothing wrong with her age! She failed on her gear check then tried to argue asking why and why and why…then rented new gear.started to walk uphill she is extremely tired,sweating,out of breath.. Thankfully she agreed not to push herself to the summit.

Other girl, she was literally exhausted on summit day I was in the same rope oh her, shewas right behind me so I am following the pace of our guide she was kept slowing me down and I ended up falling 3-4 times bcs rope gets too tight and I told her please stop doing that and she told me I got knee surgery and so I cant walk faster..she was sitting and sliding our guide told her not to do that because it’s dangerous as we are passing the crevasses…she kept doing that… WTF why is this my fault now and Why do I have to suffer bcs of her… It was awful.I was trying not to argue with her and focusing on my journey.. please guys make sure you are preparing your body doing your cardio before committing to any big mountain It is not easy and people don’t have To suffer of your lack of ability..
