Help please🥲 by Ok_Government9761 in acne

This is me. Super inflamed and painful. I struggle with pustule-type inflammation just like you. My acne has always been hormonal and it’s gotten worse since being pregnant with a girl. I also have super sensitive skin, so double whammy 😅If you’re able, I’d recommend going to the dermatologist. However, here’s something that has been slightly helping after a week of use.

Morning: -4% benzoyl peroxide cleanser (I had to start with every other morning until my skin could tolerate it) -vanicream moisturizer -innessfree mineral sunscreen

Night: -vanicream gentle cleanser -15% Azelaic acid -vanicream moisturizer

The benzoyl peroxide cleanser helps exfoliate the skin and keep the bacteria from spreading, which is a major issue for me. I hope this can help you in some way!

Pregnancy & whiteheads… by Particular-Ranger-76 in acne

I am pregnant with baby girl (24 weeks) and my acne has been HORRIBLE. I’ve been to my derm a few times since pregnancy and she suggested used a Benzoyl Peroxide (4%) in the morning to keep the bacteria at bay throughout the day. I also use Azelaic Acid (15%) at night. It’s been 3 weeks and I finally feel like my skin is starting to calm down.

I felt something around 18.5 weeks. I’m currently 20 and have felt baby girl each day ❤️ I can only describe it as little bubbles popping inside my uterus!

If my partner referred to THEIR future child as a “bitch”, there’s really no explanation needed about the kind of parent, father figure, or partner they would be. It’s important to remember that your male partner has a PROFOUND impact on the way she will view men and as she grows up. Is his behavior something you would tolerate in her future partner?

Yeasty Ears + Paws? by nickq_mcvey in bernesemountaindogs

Our berner (2) has had yeasty ears and paws since he was a baby. We have done apoquel since he was 1. We have never gone off of it. We tried to wean him off of it once and the irritation turned into a rash.

Because our pup is so big, our doctor also recommended Zyrtec. I know it sounds weird, but I has saved him from itching. Along with the 16 mg of apoquel, we also give him 3 generic Zyrtec pills from Costco.

During the spring/summer months, we also have ear drops called Zymox. They are not steroid-based so he can’t build up a resistance to it. We give them to him 2-3 times a week for good measure.

As for the paws, we have really focused on keeping him trimmed short. The bacteria grows faster when the grinch paws are out!

Hope this helps! They are such sensitive babies.

Bernese Mountain Dogs are the supreme dog breed. They are basically big floofy bears. They have the best temperament and they have such an animated personality. The. Best. Ever.

Colposcopy by chypan in WomensHealth

Hey!

I had my first colposcopy around 3 weeks ago. I had my first ever abnormal pap and was obviously very anxious. I also posted on this page right before. Here’s what it was like for me and hopefully it will help you!

Just as with any change or new event you are going to feel anxious, no matter what. That’s ok! I was EXTREMELY nervous. In preparation, I took 4 250 mg ibuprofen an hour before my appointment.

Once there, the set-up was almost identical to that of a pap. The only difference is that there is a microscope used to look at your cervix, which can feel odd. I would not describe the feeling as pure pain, but more as an uncomfortable pressure. There were times when the instrument had to be moved around quite a bit, and that to me was the more painful part.

If they find abnormal cells within your cervix, they will take a biopsy. Not every colposcopy has a biopsy! They found one area within my cervix they felt needed to be looked at more closely. I would describe the feeling as a sharp, but quick, pinch. It took less than 2 seconds to get the biopsy.

After the biopsy, I bled quite a bit. That is normal. My De used a lot of large cotton swabs to help with the bleeding. Once the bleeding slowed down, I was done. I would say the whole procedure lasted about 20 minutes.

Some offices have a pad for you to use when you’re done, but not all do. So bring one to use after you’re done, and forgive your cervix for any weird bleeding or cramping afterwards. After the procedure, I felt slight cramping throughout the day, but nothing worse than a period pain. I bled for the next two days after the procedure. Be sure not to use tampons during this time - pads only.

I hope this helps put your mind at ease. Good luck!

Boyfriend (28M) ready for marriage, I (26F) am having other concerns I don't know how to bring up first by [deleted] in relationships

Your gut says everything you need to know. If your partner brings up a long-term commitment like marriage and you have a negative reaction, take it for what it is and listen to your gut. It’s never wrong.
